Gareth Bale: Real Madrid ready to offload in January
The Welsh winger is set to be sold by Los Blancos in the winter with offers from the Premier League and China.
It’s beginning to look like that the nightmare spell of Gareth Bale at the Santiago Bernabeu could be drawing to a gradual close in the coming months, considering all the drama that has gone on over the course of the season so far. CalcioMercato are reporting that Real Madrid are ready to sell the Welshman in January after a mostly lacklustre 238 appearances, which resulted in 104 goals and 67 assists.
[KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]When Gareth Bale made the big-money move from Tottenham Hotspur, the Galacticos packed to the brim with talent, massive things were expected from the Welsh prodigy. His pace and trickery were the talk of the town and there seemed to be no reason why he wouldn’t become one of their most successful signings ever. A few years down the line and reality has taken it’s toll - the Welshman is unwanted in the Spanish capital.
His constant struggle against injuries meant that he was never really able to settle in at Madrid and saying that he’s never lived up to potential wearing the famous white shirt would be a huge understatement. Despite the important goals he’s scored for the club, including the bicycle kick against Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League final in 2018, he never really managed to break into the hearts of the Real Madrid faithful.
[KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News | Article Continues Below"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS]It has been suggested that Bale could be left with two options - return to England, where he enjoyed his best days as a footballer, or as was rumoured in the summer, move to China. Premier League giants Manchester United and Arsenal are both said to be keen on the Welshman as they look to add some much-needed creativity in attack. With that said though, a move to China would entail a massive financial boost.
Irrespective of whether he does choose to return to the Premier League or not, it’s obvious that Bale still has a lot to offer and any club will be lucky to snap him in the winter.
