The former Chelsea defender pleaded the Real Madrid manager to fix his differences with the Wales international.
Former France national team and Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf feels his former teammate Zinedine Zidane should look forward to sorting his differences out with the Welsh winger Gareth Bale as soon as possible. Zidane, who has been desperate to offload Bale, has not spoken with the Welsh winger since the first week of May, Daily Mail claims.
Gareth Bale has been the centre-point of all the criticism that has come to Los Blancos after a disappointing season last year. The team that won the UEFA Champions League three times in a row under Zidane, failed to go past a young Ajax side in the Round of 16 last season. Gareth Bale, who was supposed to take on the mantle from Cristiano Ronaldo and lead the attack, failed miserably.
Zidane, due to the differences since his first stint and because of the deplorable performances of Bale, wants him out. Leboeuf thinks that for Real Madrid to succeed, Zidane and his team need to put their differences aside and work hard as a team does.
“I’m not sure the players are the same players that he had before. He has to sort out the problem with Gareth Bale, that’s for sure, because that’s a real problem," Leboeuf said in the ESPN FC show.
“In a squad, when you have a problem with one player, you have like a gangrene in the dressing room. So you have to make sure that everybody sticks together and fights together," the 51-year-old quipped.
“So he has to sort out the problem before the beginning of the season and let’s see how it works," he added.
“We want to see Zizou in the Champions League. What’s gonna happen in the championship we don’t really care. Apart from the fight with Barcelona, we don’t really care. We want to see how the club goes in the Champions League," he opined.
Frank Leboeuf also feels that Zidane would fight hard and succeed rather than quit and leave the club in shambles. Leboeuf understands that the goal of leading this Real Madrid to success is a difficult task, but also believes that his compatriot is the right man for the job.
“I don’t think so. I think he will work hard to make sure that he’s gonna be successful again," Leboeuf continued.
“It’s gonna be hard. I don’t think it was a very good idea to come back and try to do the same that he did, because it will be impossible."

“So it’s gonna be complicated for Zizou. I think he has the temperament to carry on fighting and to not let it go at the club and just resigning. I think he’s gonna fight hard."
