Several players who made their club debuts this season and have been fast-tracked into the national team

For youngsters, international friendlies are always a great opportunity to establish themselves in the first-choice squads of their national teams. As Euro 2024 and Copa America approach closer, many managers have decided to reward upcoming superstars in the upcoming March international break so that they may be able to display their skills in the future. 

It is true that many of these names are unlikely to make it to the main squad for the Euros 2024, but they can leave a mark on the international stage in their debut appearance. Now, let’s take a look at the top 10 players who could make their debut in the March international break: 

10. Jake O’Brien- Ireland

After joining Lyon from RWD Molenbeek, Jake O’Brien has been impressive with his performances at Lyon. His performances at the heart of the defense for Lyon have been eye-catching to watch. Calm and composed on the ball, he can also dominate players in aerial duels.

During this season, he has scored four goals in 22 appearances. His performance in the league should solidify his case to the manager as he will provide Ireland with the much-needed solution at the back. 

9. Deniz Undav- Germany

After failing to establish himself at Brighton in the past, Deniz Undav has found a new life in the Bundesliga this season. After joining Stuttgart on loan this summer, he has earned his first German cap. In addition to scoring 15 goals from 25 appearances this season, Nagelsmann has also set up 6 assists for his team.

8. Lorenzo Lucca- Italy

With his performances in Serie A, the Udinese forward has been called up for the first time for the Italian national team. With Feyenoord’s quest for silverware this season, the central midfielder has been an ever-present player in the team. In this season, he has scored seven goals and contributed seven assists.

As a result of his performances, he was called up to the Netherlands team, which takes on Scotland and Germany in their final preparation for the Euros. With his performance in these matches, he is certain to make a mark. 

 5. Raoul Bellanova- Italy 

With top clubs lurking for his signature, the Torino man has been impressing with his performances in the Serie A this season. Since returning to the club, he has made the right back position his own. He has scored one goal this season and provided five assists.

On the right, he has consistently played both sides of his game to perfection, looking dangerous. In the friendly matches against Venezuela and Ecuador, he earned his first call up to the Italian team. 

4. Jarrad Branthwaite- England

With incredible defensive skills and a calm approach to the ball, the Everton Man has performed exceptionally well in his first Premier League season. He has shielded the back four with incredible defending skills. As well as being strong in tackles, he has an eye for danger.

He has scored 2 goals in 31 matches in all competitions this season. The top clubs have shown interest in his progress as a result of his performances. 

3. Pau Cubarsi- Spain

It is only time he has appeared for the Barcelona team since he emerged from the legendary La Masia academy. At the age of 17, he has already made a handful of appearances for the team. A man of the match performance against Napoli in the Champions League was his latest performance. In order to make himself a Euro-ideal, he will surely seek to take part in these fixtures. 

2. Anthony Gordon- England

This season, Brahim Diaz has scored 8 goals and provided four assists for Real Madrid. He will be looking to make an immediate impact in the team after impressing for Real Madrid this season. With his recent strike against RB Leipzig, he proved to be a player capable of mesmerizing fans.
