Matthijs De Ligt: I am not yet at my best
The former Ajax skipper admitted to his lack of form at the moment and that he will get better with time.
In a latest, Juventus star Matthijs De Ligt has revealed that he is 'short' of confidence at the moment and is optimistic of getting better with time.
De Ligt signed for the Italian champions in the summer for a hefty transfer fee of €75m. The mere 20-year-old took the footballing world by storm last season with his top-class performances for his former club Ajax.
[KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]Being a skipper, the centre-back led the Dutch club to Champions League semi-finals defeating the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus in the process. His top-notch display earned him huge recognition in Europe and was also awarded several honours including the Golden Boy and the Dutch Footballer of the Year.
Moreover, he was also part of the UEFA Champions League Squad of the Season, Eredivisie Team of the Year and FIFA FIFPro World XI recently.
However, since joining Juventus, life hasn't been very easy for Matthijs De Ligt. In fact, he also admitted to his lack of form in a recent interview, according to a report from Calciomercato.
"I am not yet at my best, I know. The more I play the more I will be . What I can do is continue to work hard, doing my best and learning from my teammates," he said.

"At Ajax I felt a sense of invincibility, now I feel less, but it is natural. I have a little less confidence than last year."
"I'm in a new club, with a new way of playing and new companions. For me it's all-new, now it's less familiar than Ajax but I'm getting better and better," he added.
