Shillong Lajong FC, Rangdajied United FC, Royal Wahingdoh FC, Sports Authority of India North East, Guwahati Town FC have all been clubbed together in the Shillong – Guwahati Zone. Royal Wahingdoh FC played their first match in the opening day against Randajied United FC played and the match ended in a goalless draw which was held on 24th September. Meanwhile, Shillong Lajong Junior Reds underwent a rigorous and an intense training regime under the watchful eyes of Lajong Head of Youth Development Gumpe Rime and Assistant Coach Seibor Sana. Speaking to our Head of Youth Development Gumpe Rime said, “The preparation for the U16 Youth League has been very good so far. We have added a few new boys with us and I hope they combine and gel well as a team. Royal Wahingdoh was the runners up in the last edition and have already played a game. We expect a tough competition tomorrow. Although these are a bunch of developmental squad but when it comes to competition it is important that we that we try to win and have a winning mentality in the team. I hope they will live up to the expectation and give their best shot”, he added.
