Early in the season, the biggest news that gripped the footballing world was Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic return to Manchester United. This is where he became a superstar and the fans of the Red Devils had high expectations. In his first match back at Old Trafford against Newcastle United, the Portuguese scored a brace. The second of his two goals was simply memorable, where he picked up a through ball from Luke Shaw and scored between the legs of a hapless goalkeeper at the Stretford End thus leading to one of the largest ‘SIUU’ celebrations ever.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal may have lost on UCL qualification, but on occasions, the club exhibited beautiful football. During their PL clash against Southampton on 11 December 2021, Alexandre Lacazette finished a mesmerising build-up into the top-right corner. The goal was awarded as the Goal of the Month for December later.
8. Cristiano Ronaldo vs Tottenham Hotspur
Cristiano Ronaldo scored two hattricks during the season and one of them came against Tottenham Hotspur on 12 March 2022. The first of his three goals was the pick of the bunch. This goal was also crucial as it completed his hattrick and gave MUFC three points.
5. Antonio Rudiger vs Brentford
Brentford demolished Chelsea at Stamford Bridge by a 1-4 away win in one of the most shocking results of the term on 2 April 2022. It beat the goalkeeper on his near post, flying past him into the back of the net after hitting the left post.
4. Mohamed Salah vs Manchester City
Mohamed Salah scored one of the most memorable solo goals of the league against Manchester City on 3 October 2021. The 2-2 draw at Anfield was extremely entertaining. 3. Andros Townsend vs Burnley
Andros Townsend has the tendency to score an out worldly goal from time to time. The English international did the same in Everton’s 3-1 win over Burnley on 14 September 2021. Scoring the goal of the month for November 2021, the midfielder scored from a powerful first-time drive into the top corner.
1. Mateo Kovacic vs Liverpool
