We scored two goals that made the difference-Morgan
The Englishmen was not satisfied even after a comfortable win in Goa...
Trevor Morgan’s men easily drubbed Churchill Brothers as they registered a convincing 2-0 win in the I-League match played at Tilak Maidan yesterday.
Even after a comfortable win in Goa, coach Morgan was not pleased with the performance of the team.
''I don't think I am ever satisfied. You can never be satisfied with the game. We can still improve a lot all over. I think Wedson Anselme missed a good opportunity. Jackichand Singh missed a good chance. On another day that could have been costly but today wasn’t,'' the Englishmen said.
East Bengal are unbeaten in the league and after two hard fought matches, it was the first clean sheet for the Kolkata giants but the 60-year old coach did not give any importance to it and said, ''I'm not relieved that we got a clean sheet. Our test is going to come in our next game against Bengaluru FC. They are a good side. They play a system for two or three years, players know each other very well. So it will be a very difficult match,''
When asked if the Red Machines were easy opponents, Morgan completely denied it and said it was not easy for his side.
''You can never prepare for an easy match. You have to prepare for a difficult match. If you make the match easy while you're playing, great and if you don’t then it will be a difficult match. I don't think we made it easy for ourselves today, but we scored two goals that made the difference,'' he explained
