Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe shared the Champions League 2023-24 Golden Boot.
Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Jr.’s late goals at Wembley gave Real Madrid victory in the 2023-24 UEFA Champions League final, as manager Carlo Ancelotti raised the colossal trophy for the fifth time. Borussia Dortmund’s daring run was finally ended.
Amid the fireworks over the stadium, there were lots of festivities. A well-known drama had reached a familiar ending.
Real Madrid had a terrible first half display, letting Dortmund’s intensity and pace almost get to them. However, they managed to keep the score 0-0 at the break.
Los Blancos demonstrated once more that they are made for this competition. With 16 minutes remaining, Carvajal scored a header from a corner delivery by Toni Kroos. Vinicius Jr. quickly added a second to guarantee that Real Madrid’s supporters could celebrate victory even before the final whistle.
Real Madrid hold the record for most victories in the competition with 15. They also hold the record for the most consecutive wins in the competition—five straight from 1956 to 1960.
The Spanish team, renowned for their tenacity and pedigree in high-stakes games, withstood Dortmund‘s commanding first half display, before seizing their chances in the second half.
