Los Nervionenses have a tough job in hand in their upcoming La Liga fixture.

The LaLiga season is at its business end, with Real Madrid already crowned champions. With a few more games in hand, the season has seen a lot of exciting action.

In what will be the final match for Barcelona under Xavi, they will take on Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium to draw curtains on the 2023-24 season.

The Blaugranas will finish in the second position in the La Liga, but what is bugging the whole fandom is the team going trophyless! Now, none of the teams would have the pressure of performing. Sevilla and Barcelona have nothing to play for – a mid-table finish and a second finish, respectively, have already been determined.

It will be an interesting battle between the managers who are on the two opposite sides of the spectrum. While Quique Sanches Flores has pulled Sevilla out of the relegation battle, Xavi will bid farewell to Barca once again.

Kick-off:

Sunday: 26th May 2024, 8 PM BST

Monday: 27th May 2024, 12:30 AM IST

Location: Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium

Form (in the LaLiga)

Sevilla: D-W-L-L-L

Barcelona: W-L-W-W-W

Players to watch

Youssef En-Nesyri (Sevilla)

Youssef En-Nesyri is a significant threat in transition and has the necessary pace to be able to run onto through-balls and push back opposition backlines. Thus, creating space for Sevilla’s other forwards and midfielders. His tall frame also helps him to meet crosses and win headers in the attacking third against defenders.

Robert Lewandowski (Barcelona)

Lewandowski is Barca’s leading goalscorer with 18 goals, while also providing nine assists in the league this season. He has also led the line effectively, causing numerous problems for the opposition. His movement and clinical finishing have earned him the reputation as one of the best forwards in the world.

Match facts

  • Sevilla are on a 3-match losing streak, failing to score a single goal in the last two games
