Best weapon for every type of combat situation

The early access is live right now for Death Stranding 2 and players are enjoying the new Australian and Mexican region in the game.

One of the things that is catching the most attention is the Tranq sniper rifle. This is one of the best stealthy long-range weapons, perfect for takedowns.

However, not many of them can find this weapon that easily. Let’s find out more details on how you can find this weapon in the game.

How to get the sniper rifle?

Now, you won’t find this weapon through the main story quest. You will need to take a detour through optional weapons.

Step 1: Kick off at Government Base

When you reach Australia, first connect to the Chiral Network at the Government base. The next step is to strike up a conversation with Prepper.

This will give you a casual side quest: deliver a Dismantled Rifle to the mysterious Lone Commander. This is a key mission that you need to do, if you want to get the sniper rifle.

Step 2: Journey to Lone Commander

The journey to his outpost is not that easy. The steep, hilly terrain is unsuitable for cars such as the DHV Magellan, so park safely and walk.

This will keep your loadout secure and will minimize the gear loss from any mishaps in Death Stranding 2.

Step 3: Hand over the rifle

Delivering the Dismantled Rifle may feel fulfilling, but the Lone Commander is not content yet. He expects more proof of your abilities, setting up a second challenge.

Step 4: Retrive Mementos

Your next task is to retrieve the mementos from a high BT-heavy zone. Here are some combat tips to help you:

  • Tap R1 to crouch and move in silence.
  • Hold R1 to keep your breath and avoid BTs unnoticed.
  • Rely on your Odradek scanner to detect surrounding hazards with a twitch.
  • There is no crafting accessible at the outpost, although the Lone Commander does give ladders and a climbing anchor. Plan your trip carefully to ensure success.

Step 5: Claim your reward

After giving the retrieved mementos, the lone commander will join the Chiral network. This will unlock:

  • Tranq Sniper Rifle is ideal for silent human eliminations.
  • Smoke Grenade: Ideal for masking noise in unsuppressed rounds.

Conclusion

Now, you are ready with one of the best long-ranged stealth weapon in Death Stranding 2. This side mission might be little difficult in early stages and can take a lot of patience.

However, it is very worth and the rewards are really sweet. Now, go and enjoy Sam and Baby Lou journey in Daeth Stranding 2.
