The iconic RuneScape universe is back with RuneScape Dragonwilds, whose early access went live on Steam on April 15, 2025.

The game is developed by Jagex and this time, players will travel to the dragon-ravaged continent of Ashenfall for an epic adventure.

Can you play RuneScape Dragonwilds on PlayStation or Xbox?

Sadly, you can’t play this game on the console for now. For now, this is a Steam exclusive launched for $29.99, entering early access on April 15, 2025.

In this survival crafting adventure, players can journey single or with up to three friends to gather materials, build gear, and confront the Dragon Queen.

Employing magic to make tasks easier, such as cutting down trees with a spectral axe spell.

Will RuneScape Dragonwilds come to PlayStation and Xbox?

Absolutely, YES. This has been confirmed by Jagex’s senior community manager, Mod Doom, in an interview with Jake Lucky.

The game will arrive on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in Winter 2026.

“Hopefully, by winter 2026, players will be able to get it fully launched, and you can get your friends in on the console as well,” Mod Doom stated.

“This is such a big moment for the world of RuneScape… we want to make sure we are doing this right,” He further added.
