Women's FIH Pro League 2024-25: India's updated schedule, fixtures, results, points table, live streaming details

India had finished eighth in the previous edition of the Women’s FIH Pro League.
Indian women’s hockey team prepares for its third Women’s FIH Pro League season; after ending last season in eighth place, things can only improve. With just three wins last time, India were saved from relegation thanks to two major wins against Australia and the USA. But can they make the final step against the toughest?
Head coach Harendra Singh has stuck to experience to find some answers to that with Vandana Katariya making her return to the side after being absent during the Asian Champions Trophy-winning campaign, she brings in much-needed firepower up front. Captain Salima Tete remains the heartbeat of the side, while defensive pillars Savita Punia and Sushila Pukhrambam provide stability at the back.
The challenge? goals have always been India’s Achilles’ heel, especially against European teams. Rutuja and Sonam, who raised eyebrows during the Women’s Hockey India League, might just solve that issue. Rutuja is cool under pressure, a fact demonstrated by the two goals she scored in the dying moments of the WHIL final-and will, therefore, be a player to keep an eye on.
Although she was the top Indian goal-scorer in the league and currently sits in the reserves, there is an expectation that Sonam will take to the field.

The other concern is penalty corners. Deepika and Manisha Chauhan, India’s designated drag-flickers, were never up to the mark in the WHIL.
The Pro League presents a test and European giants might experiment with their squads, but India needs to show progress, not just in patches but across the campaign. Can they turn promises into results? The answer begins at home.
What is the format of the tournament?
The FIH Pro League is organized in a round-robin format where nine teams undertake the stretch from November to June. Each team plays 16 matches: two against each of the other teams on the schedule. The Pro League is not played in the usual home-away style but instead arranged into blocks of matches for logistical simplicity.
Here, several teams come to the same place and play two matches each against the others. The trophy is awarded to the team finishing on top of the table after all matches, while the team finishing at the bottom is relegated to be replaced by the winner of the FIH Nations Cup in the next season. The games are carried out at different venues across the participating nations, except for Ireland this season.
