Top four fastest players to reach 200 raid points in Pro Kabaddi League

Narender Kandola joined this elite list during PKL season 9.

Narender Kandola from Tamil Thalaivas has become the fastest player to score 200 raid points in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). He surpasses the record held by Siddharth Desai, who achieved the feat in 19 matches. Narender reached the milestone in 18 matches. He achieved this feat in Tamil Thalaivas' 37-37 tie against Dabang Delhi. Narender scored his 11th Super 10s of PKL season 9 en route to achieving this milestone against Dabang Delhi.

4. Anup Kumar (24 matches)

Anup Kumar started his career for U Mumba and was the most sought raider in the first three seasons. He was regarded as the 'Bonus King' in his playing days. Under his leadership, U Mumba became the champions in PKL season 2 after finishing runner-up in the inaugural season.

He played the last part of his career for Jaipur Pink Panthers but couldn't achieve much success. After retirement, Anup coached Puneri Paltan for two seasons bringing in talents like Pankaj Mohite and Aslam Inamdar.

3. Rahul Chaudhari (23 matches)

Rahul Chaudhari, the showman, was the fastest to get to the 200 raid point mark when he represented Telugu Titans in the initial seasons. He scored 151 raid points in 14 matches during the first season and got to the 200 mark in the second season in 2015.

The most successful season for the “showman” was the fifth where he scored 184 raid points and since then his form has slowly dipped. Currently, Rahul is representing Jaipur Pink Panthers and is playing the supporting role in raiding.

2. Siddharth Desai (19 matches)

Siddharth “Bahubali” Desai became a star representing U Mumba scoring 221 raid points in 21 matches in his debut season during PKL season 6. After this performance, Telugu Titans roped him in during the season 7 auctions. However, injuries derailed the next three seasons. He rose to prominence again in PKL season 9 scoring five successive super 10s but got injured thereafter.

1. Narender Kandola (18 matches)

Narender Kandola is having a dream run in his debut season becoming the fastest to score 200 raid points in PKL history. Pawan Sehrawat was brought by Tamil Thalaivas for a whopping 2.26 crores but got injured in the first match ruling him out of the entire season.

Since then, Kandola has filled in Pawan Sehrawat’s role quite comfortably scoring a Super 10 in his first game. He has been at the top of his game and is among the leading raiders this season.

J Udhay Kumar, the former coach of Tamil Thailavas, scouted Narender Kandola at the KIYG (Khelo India Youth Games) where the youngster showed promising signs. He trains at SAI (Sports Authority of India) and hails from a small village in Haryana.
