Dabang Delhi have lost all four of their previous PKL 11 game.

Match 39 of season 11 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL 11) will see Bengal Warriorz up against Dabang Delhi. It is a recap of the finals of season seven with Bengal Warriorz winning 39-34 against Delhi. It was despite the fact that Maninder Singh had to sit out due to an injury.

On the other hand, Delhi’s primary Raider Naveen Kumar had a brilliant game with 18 points. Thanks to a strong defensive front the men from the east lifted the PKL trophy. After a poor season last year, the Warriorz wants to go back to that winning formula in PKL 11 and hence they spent big bucks to buy the likes of Fazel Atrachali, Nitesh Kumar, and Mayur Kadam.

The strengthened defence has ensured the men in blue go home with at least a point in every PKL 11 game. For Dabang Delhi, they have lost the last four PKL 11 games having lost Naveen Kumar to injury midway and Siddharth Desai before the start of the season. Despite that, their hero of the last season Ashu Malik has been pulling the team to challenge their opponents.

These two will be up against each other and would badly want to get five important points as the season moves into the mid-phase. Let’s look at the top battles in the game which could define the outcome of the game.

Fazel Atrachali vs Ashu Malik

Kabaddi is a team sport where seven players are looking to pounce on a player. But one man can influence the team and if there is a classic example of that one-man army, then it has to be Fazel Atrachali. The Iranian has been the best defender in the history of the league. As a player he has won two PKL titles and as a captain taken his team to two finals.

Such is the domination of the left corner defender and he will be up against a certain Ashu Malik who did the same for Dabang Delhi last season, taking them to the playoffs. His presence on the mat is crucial to Delhi’s chances in PKL 11. Fazel would want to keep him quiet on a Thursday night, and if it happens Delhi would be suffering another defeat this season.

Yogesh vs Maninder Singh

The 2017 edition saw four new teams were introduced into the league. A name made a comeback after three years. It was Maninder Singh having won the title in the inaugural edition was ruled out in the next three editions. Season six saw him become the the- fastest to 400 and 500 raid points and has become one of the leading raiders of the game.

He will be up against a certain Yogesh Dahiya who made his debut last season and lived up to the expectations of his coach. The battle between the young right corner and the experienced left raider will be a fascinating one to watch in the PKL 11. The mighty Mani has been slow this season and can’t afford it against Yogesh whose bucket hands will pin him down if can’t bring his best.

Rinku Narwal vs Sushil Kambrekar

During the auction, Bengal Warriorz raised many eyebrows when they went hard for an unknown Arjun Rathi. While many expected Arjun to cause havoc with his raids, they have surprised everyone as Sushil Kambrekar has taken the PKL 11 by storm. His swiftness was in full display against Puneri Paltan whose defence had very few answers for the Raider.

He will again be crucial to Bengal’s chances but it won’t be easy against Delhi whose Rinku Narwal is an old fox. The left corner may not be in great form, but nothing can’t be compared to experience and he will look to prove his worth weight in gold. Sushil will look to get the better of the defender which will do a world of good for his confidence.
