PKL 11: Key battles to watch out for in match 67, Bengal Warriorz vs Telugu Titans
Bengal Warriorz have lost three consecutive matches in PKL 11.
Bengal Warriorz will face Telugu Titans in match 67 of Pro Kabaddi 2024 (PKL 11) at the Noida Indoor Stadium. After 66 games, the first phase of season 11 is nearing completion. So far, some teams have performed very well, while others have disappointed everyone. Two of those teams are Telugu Titans and Bengal Warriorz.
Telugu Titans, who had a slow start, have made a strong comeback and are in the top six. On the other hand, Bengal Warriorz created a huge hype after the auction as they made some impressive buys. But things haven’t gone the way they expected as they are reeling in the bottom quarter of the points table. These two will be up against each other to start the second half of the league stage. On this note, let’s look at the three key battles from this PKL 11 match.

Vijay Malik vs Fazel Atrachali
Even before the finals of season 10, Telugu Titans announced Krishna Kumar Hooda as their new coach for season 11. They wanted to build a squad from scratch and the Dronacharya Awardee has been unearthing talents for years in PKL. One of his earlier find is Vijay Malik, when he was with Dabang Delhi. The all-rounder played a key role in Delhi’s journey to finals.
When the retention list was announced, it was an open secret that Hooda would get Vijay back. Vijay found the much-needed confidence that he lacked last year. Vijay played an important role in the victory against Thalaivas and Steelers. He will be challenging ‘Sultan’ Fazel Atrachali on Thursday and it won’t be easy to get away.
Nitesh Kumar vs Ashish Narwal
Another guy who has moved from Dabang Delhi to Telugu Titans and has been doing well this season is Ashish Narwal. The tall raider has been a surprise package for the opposition defense as teams come prepared for Pawan Sehrawat and Vijay Malik. Ashish with his running hand touches has caught the opposition defense off-guard.
It was evident in the game against Haryana Steelers, who possesses a strong defensive unit. Despite High-5s for both Shadloui and Rahul Sethpal, the Titans beat the Steelers with a whopping 49-27, thanks to the silent Assassin’s 11 points. His challenger for the night is another man who is secretly gaining confidence with his performances.
Nitesh Kumar might not have won games for Warriorz but has already built a reliable fort in the right corner. It will be difficult to breach. If Ashish can breach it, then the men in yellow could get another win.
Nitin Kumar vs Krishan Dhull
Nitin Kumar has been the lone bright spot for the Bengal Warriorz in the last two years and he will be the torchbearer for the season seven champions during Thursday’s encounter with Titans. He will be face a certain Krishan Dhull, who has been having a quiet season so far.
But he will be backed to the tilt by the coach as the corner defender is also a find of coach Hooda during his Dabang Delhi days. But youngsters will come face-to-face to score important points for their respective franchises. The player who stays more on the mat between these two could well walk with the last laugh at the end of the day.
