Yumnam Raju and Jerry Mawihmingthanga haul Jamshedpur back from the dead against Delhi
The duo masterminded a remarkable comeback from two goals down for the Men of Steel.
It was yet another exciting clash this time in the Indian Super League as Jamshedpur FC faced up against bottom club Delhi Dynamos. The Delhi based outfit started out strong scoring 2 goals inside 120 seconds but failed to see the game out defensively as it did not take long for the home side to get back into the game.
A late winner meant that Jamshedpur would now be on 16 points and tied on points with 4th place FC Goa. Delhi are still languishing in the bottom and here’s how the Indian players featuring in this game fared.
Jamshedpur FC vs Delhi Dynamos match highlights
Jamshedpur FC
Subrata Paul: 6/10
Subrata did not have a good outing today as he conceded two goals one after the other in the space of 2 minutes. To make matters much worse for him, the two shots were the only 2 that were on target. In addition to this, he had 2 catches, 2 punches, 3 clearances and also 21 passes. Overall, it was an off day for him.
Yumnam Raju: 8/10
A goal scorer today, this defender was involved all over the field. Right from swerving crosses to crunching tackles, Raju was doing it all against the Dynamos. He had 3 crosses, 3 blocks, 3 tackles, 1 interception and 1 clearance. He also created a chance and was on the end of a rebound outside the box which he curled it perfectly past the Delhi keeper.
Raju scored a stunning equaliser the other night
Souvik Chakrabarty: 6.5/10
Deputised at the Right-back position today, Souvik played it safe today. He did not have any contributions to make offensive but was solid defensively after the team quickly conceded two goals. He had 4 tackles, 3 clearances, 2 interceptions, 2 blocks and he made 27 passes to finish his night. It was an average performance enough to give him 6.5 out of 10.
Bikash Jairu: 5.5/10
A very poor showing from the midfielder right from the first whistle. He looked completely off today and it was a night that he would like to forget. He created 0 chances the entire game and only had 1 shot which was off target. He completed 28 passes at a poor 43% completion rate. He also put in 3 crosses, had 2 tackles and 1 clearance.
Jerry Mawihmingthanga: 8/10
A contrasting performance from the other winger in the team. Jerry caused all sorts of problems to the Delhi backline. He created 2 chances throughout the 90’ and he had 2 shots in which one was on target. He had a total of 35 passes and was also on corner taking duty. He ended the game with 1 assist to his name and his corners were on point which led to 2 goals in this game. Jerry also scored a goal but it was wrongly ruled offside.
Jerry had the ball in the back of the net, but the linesman had his flag up!
Ashim Biswas: 5.5/10
Substituted in 67 minutes, Ashim had a bad day in the office. As a striker he did very little to cause problems to Delhi. He created just 1 chance and had just 1 shot which was off-target. He made just 17 passes with a very poor 29% completion rate. The only plus for him was that his team ended up as the winning side.
Substitutes:
Anas Edathodika: 5.5/10 Featured in the match for 29 minutes, Anas came on for Bikey to slot right back into Bikey’s position as a Centre-back. He made just 5 passes and had 1 clearance to his name. Anas did not have much to do as Jamshedpur FC spent the last quarter of the match attacking which enabled them to get the winner.

Delhi Dynamos
Arnab Das Sharma: 6.5/10
Arnab Das did not deserve this outcome as when he was tested, he came out on top and saved his side. Two out of the three goals came from corners which should’ve been dealt with by the defenders a lot better. He had 2 saves, 5 catches, 5 clearances and 1 punch to show for in this game.
Pritam Kotal: 6.5/10
Looking back at the 1st goal today, he would definitely feel that he should’ve done better to clear the ball out. He had a total of 33 passes at the rate of 58% today. He also totalled an impressive 2 tackles, 7 clearances, 3 interceptions and 1 block to show for.
Vinit Rai: 7/10
Not the ideal night for the defensive midfielder. He played 85 minutes before being subbed out for Pratik Chowdary due to an injury. He created 1 chance and had 1 shot which was off target. He had an impressive 28 passes which he completed at an amazing completion rate of 89%. He also had 1 tackle, 3 clearances, 1 interception and 2 blocks to show for.
Nandhakumar Sekar: 7.5/10
The best Indian on the pitch today for Delhi, Nandha was amazing to say the least. His 2 assists helped Delhi get on top with 2 quick fire goals. He created 4 chances in the game and also totalled 1 shot on target. He made 29 passes at 52% accuracy and more importantly, he put in 5 crosses which caused a lot of problems to Jamshedpur.
Nandha Kumar Sekar assisted 2 goals in a very identical manner
Romeo Fernandes: 6/10
Did not contribute in the attacking front and that is quite disappointing for an attacker. He had a very silent night against the Jamshedpur defence. He made a total of 34 passes with 62% of them hitting the target. He had 2 crosses and defensively he totalled 2 tackles and 1 clearance.
Lallianzuala Chhangte: 6/10
Young Chhangte had only Subrata Paul to beat, but he couldn't find the net
Coming in hot after that performance against Bengaluru FC, Lallianzuala looked half the player that he was in that game against Bengaluru. Had just 1 shot which did not test the keeper at all. He made 34 passes with 65% accuracy. He had an impressive 6 tackles but overall it was a very dismal performance from the youngster.
Substitutes:
Pratik Chowdhary: N/A
Brought on in the 85th minute for Vinit Rai to replace the injured midfielder, Pratik Chowdhary had nothing to show for this game. He was brought on to preserve the lead but eventually they conceded to a last minute goal.
Seityasen Singh: 5/10
[KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS]Brought on for Nandha at the 80 minute mark, Seityasen slotted right back into Nandha’s position. He had just 4 passes in the 17 minutes that he featured for and only completed this at a 25% accuracy rate. He also had 1 cross and a tackle to show for.
