Sumit Nagal beat August Holmgren to level the tie for India yesterday after Yuki Bhambri's defeat.

After an exciting day 1, where India rode on an excellent match from Sumit Nagal to level the Davis Cup World Group I play-off round 1 tie 1-1 against Denmark, the visitors will want to clinch the tie on day 2. The clash is taking place at the Royal Stage in Hillerød, Denmark. Action on day 2 will start at 4:30 pm IST with the doubles pair of Rohan Bopanna and Yuki Bhambri starting the proceedings against Johannes Ingildsen/Christian Sigsgaard pair.

This is the second meeting in as many years between these two teams. India beat Denmark, who was without their top singles star Holger Rune, 4-0 in their last meeting in New Delhi in 2022. Current World No. 9 Rune, who beat Novak Djokovic in the 2022 Paris Masters final to become the youngest champion in Paris since Boris Becker in 1986, has returned in the away leg. He beat Yuki Bhambri 6-2, 6-2 in the opening match on day 1 (Friday) to put Denmark into lead.
