Iga Swiatek vs Ekaterina Alexandrova prediction, betting tips & odds, head-to-head, preview: Korea Open 2025

This will be third Iga Swiatek vs Ekaterina Alexandrova matchup of the season.
Iga Swiatek is having a memorable debut in Seoul, having made the final on her first visit to the South Korean capital. The top-seeded Pole had to pull off back-to-back wins on Saturday.
First, she made light work of Barbora Krejcikova (6-0, 6-3) in the last eight in a rain-delayed start. She then went on to defeat Australian Maya Joint (6-0, 6-2) to make her fourth tour-level final of the season.
Since the Australian Open and up to her win against Krejcikova in Seoul, the World No. 2 has 14 sets with a 6-0 scoreline. When she bageled Joint in the opening set of their semi-final match, it was her 15th set with a similar scoreline.
Swiatek needed just 66 minutes to dismiss Maya Joint and set up a third meeting in 2025 with Ekaterina Alexandrova. The Russian, who won the title at Linz in February, recently lost to Swiatek in the fourth round of the US Open.

Alexandrova, the 2022 champion, had to work hard for her win against Katerina Siniakova. The second-seeded Alexandrova needed 57 minutes to take the first set by breaking Siniakova’s serve at 5-4.
The Czech broke Alexandrova’s serve early in the second set for a 1-0 lead. But the Russian regrouped to even the score at 2-2 when she broke Siniakova’s serve and returned the favour.
It was all downhill for Siniakova at that point, as she relinquished the second set and the match. Alexandrova took the win 6-4, 6-2 in one hour and 40 minutes to make her third final of the season.
The Russian took back the advantage by breaking Siniakova’s serve thrice in the second set and close out the win with a forehand winner on her first match point.

Preview
Iga Swiatek, the reigning Wimbledon champion, will take on Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova in a bid to win her third title of the season and 25th overall. The Pole now equals her chief rival, Aryna Sabalenka, with 56 match wins in the ongoing season.
If Swiatek makes it onto the winner’s list at the Korea Open, she will become the second Polish woman to win the title since Agnieszka Radwanska in 2013.
Ekaterina Alexandrova eliminated doubles specialist Katerina Siniakova to make the title round of the Korea Open for the second time in her career. The 30-year-old Alexandrova will attempt to relive her 2022 title run when she takes on Swiatek.
Alexandrova dropped a set in her opening match against Frenchwoman Lois Boisson, but has won all her matches in straight sets since then. Swiatek has put on display her trademark efficiency and is yet to drop a set in Seoul.

Match Prediction
Though her stay in New York was cut short after Amanda Anisimova defeated Swiatek in the quarter-finals, the Pole is back to her take-no-prisoners mindset in Seoul. Swiatek has swatted away her opponents with a cocktail of elegance and efficiency.
Defying expectations of a competitive quarter-final against Barbora Krejcikova, the Pole swept aside the two-time Grand Slam champion in straight sets. The World No. 2 dropped serve only four times en route to the final.
Swiatek and Alexandrova will battle for 500 WTA points in Sunday’s final. A win for Swiatek will help her narrow the gap with World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in the points table. Should Alexandrova triumph, she will edge closer to making her top ten debut in the WTA Rankings.
An uphill battle awaits Alexandrova when she takes on Swiatek as she targets a second tour-level title this season. Taking an early lead will be crucial for Alexandrova, as she did against Swiatek at the 2024 Miami Open.
Given Swiatek’s current form, the Pole is likely to overcome any resistance from Alexandrova. Swiatek won both their encounters in straight sets in 2025, on the grass courts of Bad Homburg, and replicated the result at the US Open. A 5-2 lead over Alexandrova in their head-to-head hands Swiatek the edge ahead of Sunday’s final.
Result: Swiatek to win in straight sets.
