WWE Superstar Spectacle in India: Results & Winners
John Cena has his first win in India, The Great Khali returns, double duty for Natalya and more!
WWE Superstar Spectacle is an exclusive house show in India for the Indian fans. This is the second edition of Superstar Spectacle, and the first in India held in GMC Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad on September 8, 2023 (Friday). A lot of interesting matches were held, with surprising last minute changes. The match is not streamed live across the WWE Networks, but don't worry we came out with the complete match summary, results and winner list. Match Summary
Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn & Drew McIntyre vs Indus Sher (Veer Mahan, Sangha & Jinder Mahal)
Jinder Mahal and Indus Sher started the Superstar Spectacle by addressing the home crowd. However was interrupted by their challengers, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Moment after they arrive, Jinder Mahal, Veer Mahan and Sangha started attacking Owens and Zayn. Drew McIntyre came to the aid of Owens and Zayn with Indian Cricket team Jersey, to neutralize the Indus Sher. The two-on-two match was then made into a Six-Man Tag Team Match.
The Indus Sher had the initial control of the match. However the momentum shifted towards Owens, Zayn and Drew. When Indus Sher tried to reinstate the control, Matt Riddle music played, which distracted Mahal. McIntyre used the distraction to Claymore Mahal and win the match.
After the match Matt Riddle came to the ring the ring with Drew McIntyre's sword and they celebrated. Jinder Mahal tried to argue with Riddle, but the argument turned into a dance. Riddle, Mahal, McIntyre and Zayn then danced for "Nattu, Nattu" song of RRR.
Winner: Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn & Drew McIntyre
Natalya vs Zoey Stark
Natalya vs Zoey Stark was announced Natalya replaced Becky Lynch, who was about to have a match with Zoey. Both Natalya and Zoey showcased their dominance with back to back strikes. Zoey took control of the initial stage of the match as Natalya fights back.
However, just in moments Zoey seized the spot with a powerful clothesline and sent her through the top ropes. Natalya defeated Zoey Stark by pinfall by roll down. This is a namesake match, which hardly have tough moves
Winner: Natalya
Intercontinental Championship- Gunther vs Shanky
Another surprising match in the line up is Gunther vs Shanky for the Intercontinental Championship. Shanky had the initial upper hand as he delivered some powerful blows.
However, Gunther quickly took the control of the match by sending Shanky out of the ring through the top rope. Gunther himself followed him and broke the character to have spontaneous dance.
Gunther dominated Shanky. As Shanky tried to fight back, Gunther hit him with a bone breaking vicious chops, followed by a top rope flying clothesline. Which made Shanky down as Gunther secured his victory, to prove why he is the longest-reigning Intercontinental champion of all time.
Winner: Gunther
Bron Breakker vs Odyssey Jones
Bron Breakker had a impromptu match with Odyssey Jones, where Jones hit Bron with the initial strikes. However, Breakker attacked him brutally and delivered a powerful slam, which slowed Jones. As Jones stood up, he hit him with a wrecking spear to secure the win.
Winner: Bron Breakker
The Great Khali
The Great Khali returned to the ring and addressed the home crowd. He came out with his own entrance music, which took up back to the childhood. He made a statement that he has one last match in him. Seems like we can see him in a match in future.
Women's World Championship
This is the second match for Natalya this evening. Natalya initiated the fight as the momentum was soon turned towards Rhea Ripley. Natalya took a small advantage, she tried to spear Rhea through the ramp but hit herself on the ring post which halted her momentum.
Rhea landed the German Suplex on Nattie, as the crowd started chanting 'Suplex City. Rhea then dominated Natalya as she broke the sharpshooter and hit Natalya with the Riptide to pick up the win.
Winner: Rhea Ripley
John Cena & Seth Rollins vs Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci
The stadium erupted when Cena's music played, and the chants inside the arena reached the sky for the GOAT's entrance. Cena says that the crowd's reaction as unlike anything that he has ever heard before. Rollins started the match but tagged Cena-in sooner. Giovanni Vinci started the match for Imperium.
Vinci took the upper hand immediately after a series of offensive maneuvers. Seth Rollins tagged himself in, but The Imperium delivered is having full control of the match so far with having the upper hand over both Cena and Rollins. While Rollins struggling to find dominance, Ludwig Kaiser lays Rollins down and mocks Cena's 'you can't see me' gesture.
After battling with Vinci, Rollins tagged Cena. Cena is fired up as he executed his signature moves with the five moves of doom with Shoulder Tackle and Five Knuckle Shuffle. Cena then lifted Vinci on his shoulders and delivered the Attitude Adjustment (AA).
As Ludwig Kaiser tried to crawl inside, Rollins hit him with a devastating stomp. Cena pinned Vinci for the first win in this year and the first ever win in India. Cena then addresses the WWE Universe in India and thanked them for supporting.

Natalya (W) defeated Zoey Stark by Pinfall.
Gunther (W) defeated Shanky to retain the Intercontinental Championship.

Rhea Ripley (W) defeated Natalya to retain her Women's World Championship.
John Cena & Seth Rollins (W) defeated Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci.
