Ranking the top five WWE storylines to track for rest of 2023
It has been a great year for WWE, where the storyline peaked in the wrestling industry. We have seen more dramatic twists and turns in many storylines so far and still are going to witness more in the upcoming months. With just two months remaining for 2024, based on where the storylines are heading to we ranked the top five current WWE storylines to track the rest of the year.
5. Jade Cargill's in-ring debut
The biggest steal of WWE in recent times, Jade Cargill has been signed to WWE in September and has been waiting to make her in-ring debut for a long time. She has been hyped by the company to be one of the greatest female athletes, but it is unsure where she will make her in-ring debut. However, Cargill is involved in face off backstage with some of the greatest wrestlers of the company. She pick up a feud against either Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley or Bianca Belair at Survivor Series or on the week following Survivor Series.
4. Damien Priest failed Cash-in
"Senor" Money in the Bank Damien Priest has been waiting for so long for a perfect opportunity to cash-in to become the World Champion for the first time. He might end up cashing in his Money in the Bank before the end of this year and has a lot of possibility for a failed cash in. Priest might cash-in at Survivor Series or at the Survivor Series Fallout episode of Raw.
3. McIntyre slowly turning heel
It is unsure whether Drew McIntyre is face or heel based on his current situation. He acts as a face by winning matches cleanly and making sure the opponent is 100% clear to compete in the ring. However he has been against some of the biggest baby faces such as Sami Zayn & Jey Uso. He never let the villains cash it on the champion, but let the top babyface get punished by the villains. In this situation McIntyre by the end of the year will slowly turn heel by the frustration of being a good guy and bring back the "Scottish Psychopath" to life.
2. Jey Uso vs Jimmy Uso
Jey got away from Jimmy and The Bloodline following Jimmy's betrayal. Although he stood away on Raw and enjoyed being the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion with Cody, Jimmy cost their tag team titles by appearing on Raw. Jey tried to invade SmackDown to attack Jimmy, but the New SmackDown General Manager, Nick Aldis fined Jey and warned him not to appear on SmackDown.
Since Jey is looking to have his hands, he might end up assaulting Jimmy Uso at Survivor Series in a possible traditional RAW vs SmackDown match. This might bring both on the same page and result in a long-term storytelling and a one-on-one match at WrestleMania 40.
1. Cody Rhodes gets back to finishing The Storyline
Cody Rhodes was diverted in a different path after his loss against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39. He was distanced by Brock Lesnar, WWE draft, and feud with Judgment Day. After winning the Tag Team Titles he had a face off with Roman after a long time, but it didn't last longer as they lost the titles, which was the one that made them appear on SmackDown. Considering his current situation, Cody Rhodes will end his feud with Judgment Day before or by Survivor Series and would head back to the track of finishing the storyline.
