The 2023 WWE Crown Jewel will be hosted live on November 4, 2023 at Mohammed Abdu Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is the fifth annual Crown Jewel event that has been hosted in Saudi Arabia. WWE is cooking something big for the event to make it one of the most memorable events and has booked some of the WrestleMania worthy matches to the cards. With less than 24 hours left for WWE Crown Jewel, here is a complete rumor roundup which circulates around the event.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s appearance
Since the announcement of Crown Jewel 2023, there have been various rumors that Cristiano Ronaldo will be appearing for the event. It was previously reported that WWE has been in talks to bring him to the show. Grayson Waller mentioned Ronaldo in his tweet and teased him. However there is no confirmation on his appearance yet.
Last match for Roman Reigns in 2023
There have been rumors that WWE Crown Jewel 2023 is the final PPV appearance of Roman Reigns in 2023, as he is not advertised for Survivor Series 2023 as of now. Roman Reigns’ on and off run this year has kept him away from most of the PLE’s this week and it might be the reason for not featuring in Survivor Series.
John Cena’s first singles’ match
John Cena will be facing Solo Sikoa at WWE Crown Jewel 2023, which marks the first singles match for Cena since WrestleMania 39 Night 1, where he lost to Austin Theory for the United States Championship.
Seth Rollins defends title 5th time
Seth Rollins will be defending five different championships for the fifth time at Crown Jewel PPV. Rollins is the one who walked to Crown Jewel with a championship belt all the five times. Rollins defended the Universal Championship, Raw Tag Team Championship, Intercontinental Championship, United States Championship and this time with the World Heavyweight Championship.
Kairi Sane return
Kairi Sane has been added to the WWE’s Internal talent roster most recently and the rumors around it speculate that Sane might make her return at Crown Jewel to assist IYO SKY retain her WWE Women’s Championship.
Solo Sikoa’s single’s PPV debut
Solo Sikoa has never competed in a single’s match in a PPV, this marks his first single’s PPV match since his main roster debut. He had a number of tag team matches with his brothers and cousin before, however this is his single’s PPV debut.
First PPV Main Event
The Crown Jewel 2023, will be the first PPV Main event match for LA Knight, as he never featured in a main event card at a PPV before. This also marks his first match in Saudi Arabia, which we can also say as the Saudi Arabia-PPV Main Event debut of LA Knight.
First Overseas event of WWE after TKO merger
WWE Crown Jewel 2023 is the first WWE PLE that is held overseas after the TKO merger. WWE have toured a lot of countries for home shows after the merger, but this is the first Premium Live Event of the company outside the United States of America after the TKO merger.
John Cena might leave
John Cena’s current schedule with WWE came to an end on the October 27, 2023 episode of SmackDown, however he extended it to Crown Jewel 2023. As Cena already spoke about leaving WWE for Hollywood if the strike comes to normal, his return is expected to be sooner after Crown Jewel.
5 Championship matches
WWE has booked five championship matches for Crown Jewel 2023, which is the first time since Summerslam 2023 that this much championship matches are booked for a premium live event. Except the Men’s and Women’s Tag Team titles and Intercontinental Championship every championship is being defended.
