AJ Styles is one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time
AJ Styles faced Cody Rhodes in an ‘I Quit’ match for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Clash at the Castle 2024 PLE recently, in Glasgow, Scotland. Here take a look at AJ Styles’ record in the ‘I Quit’ matches throughout his career.
Styles has competed in 1 ‘I Quit’ match in WWE, he wrestled three ‘I Quit’ matches during his time in TNA Wrestling and won all three. Styles never said ‘I Quit’ in his career before and is undefeated.
AJ Styles vs Booker T (TNA Sacrifice 2009)
At the TNA Sacrifice 2009 pay-per-view, AJ Styles defended his TNA Legends Championship on the line against Booker T in an “I Quit” Match. This was the second I Quit match to be held in the history of TNA Wrestling, where Styles locked Booker T in an armbar, Jenna Morsaca, Booker T’s ally threw a towel in the ring to end the match, making AJ Styles retain the TNA Legends Championship.
AJ Styles vs Tommy Dreamer(TNA No Surrender 2010)
At TNA No Surrender 2010 pay-per-view, AJ Styles faced Tommy Dreamer in an ‘I Quit’ match. The match went so brutal, with both of them trying to tear each other trying to win the match, where Styles made Tommy Dreamer say ‘I Quit’ by poking his eyes with a fork spoon.
AJ Styles vs Christopher Daniels (TNA Bound of Glory 2011)
At TNA Bound of Glory 2011 pay-per-view, Styles faced Christopher Daniels in an ‘I Quit’ match. During the match, both tried to kill each other, but Styles took it too far. In the final moments, Styles with a Screwdriver threatened Daniels that he would kill him. This made Daniels say ‘I Quit’. After the match, Daniels attacked Styles to continue his feud.
Styles faced Cody Rhodes in his fourth I Quit match at Clash at the Castle 2024 PLE. Unfortunately, this marked the first defeat in ‘I Quit’ matches for Styles as he suffered a defeat against Rhodes in an entertaining clash.
Styles still has an amazing record with 3 wins and 1 loss, but has unfortunately lost his unbeaten record in ‘I Quit’ matches.
