CM Punk speaks on potential AJ Lee return, current WWE creative & more

CM Punk compares creative locker room experience ten years ago

CM Punk is one of the most popular & best in class professional wrestlers across the world. Punk has a long history with WWE both in the ups and downs. Punk had a controversial departure from WWE in 2014, however, came back strong with a completely different attitude and character.

CM Punk is reportedly more connected in the locker room than before and has been praised backstage. At this stage, Punk comments on WWE‘s creative locker room experience and recalls how it was in the past. He also drops his desire to work with her wife, AJ Lee in the future.

CM Punk praises WWE’s creative at present

CM Punk after the 2024 San Diego Comic Con event appeared for an interview with Ringside Collectibles, where Punk was asked about WWE’s creative and locker room now. To which he praised the locker room and the creatives being heard and said that he would be receptive to any good ideas.

Punk said, 

“The cool thing about where we’re at as a company right now, creatively speaking, this is the most fruitful, creative locker room that I think I’ve ever been in where ideas aren’t ignored and shot down, and people are eager to share ideas, you know, so somebody someday could have a brilliant idea that something that I have blinders on and can’t see, and I would be receptive to any of the ideas as long as they’re good.”

CM Punk continued saying that, if this was the place ten years ago, he wouldn’t have left the company.

Punk said,

“Yeah, absolutely. To a point where I almost don’t like talking about it because everyone thinks I’m just like toeing the company line, you know, but I know if this place is the way it is now, I wouldn’t have left 10 years ago. This is the most basic way I can explain it. Really exciting.”

CM Punk on potentially working with AJ Lee

Punk was then asked if they could see him working with her spouse AJ Lee again. To which he replied saying that he didn’t want to push her, but when the time was right, the discussion could be made. He then said that he would love to make out with AJ Lee on television again.

CM Punk answered, 

“I am the wrong guy to ask those questions about. I am certainly not pushing her to do anything. I think she knows that she has options. She sees how happy I am and how things are different, but if the right situation presented itself, it would be a certain discussion between her and certain people. I don’t necessarily want to be in the middle of that, just because it could be weird. Selfishly yes, I would love to make out with my wife on television again.”
