The Scottish Warrior defeated Cody Rhodes in their latest encounter.
‘The Scottish Warrior’ Drew McIntyre was set to battle Jacob Fatu in the main event of the October 17 show of WWE SmackDown. During the opening moments of the show, it was revealed that the clash will now be a number one contender’s match for the Undisputed title.
However, before the main event, Fatu was viciously attacked, forcing him out of the match. The introductions for the main event were about to begin when a commotion broke out. The camera quickly cut backstage, revealing Jacob Fatu lying beneath a scaffolding, blood spitting from his mouth.
Cody Rhodes accused McIntyre of the attack and then offered him a title clash right then, which was followed by a lengthy brawl. The two continued brawling through the crowd stands and back into the ring to start the match.
The match ended in disqualification as Rhodes blasted Drew with the title during the match. This meant that while McIntyre won the match, the DQ result meant Cody retained the title. McIntyre has been vocally upset with the win, blasting Rhodes for taking the shortcut.
Drew McIntyre trolls WWE for a bold tweet

Following the action on the show, as usual, WWE’s X handle posted the clip with a bold caption, “. @CodyRhodes put @DMcIntyreWWE in his place”. The clip also featured the ending of the match with Cody hitting Drew with the title, causing the DQ.
McIntyre, as expected, was not happy about the tweet and responded by trolling the admin about using ChatGPT, accusing them of being Rhodes’ payroll, and then blasted Cody for taking the DQ loss like a fraud.
“What in the ChatGPT are you on about?! I know you’re on Cody’s payroll but try to be less obvious next time. He took the DQ like the coward (and fraud) he is.”
This comment comes in the backdrop of reports suggesting WWE is planning to use AI to write storylines in the future, which stemmed mainly from the hiring of a new Senior Director of Creative Strategy. According to reports, the promotion may have struck a deal with Writer AI to help develop and craft storylines, though some have criticized the results, calling them “absurdly bad.”
However, recent reports from Fightful Select suggested that AI isn’t being used to write storylines, but rather as a creative assistant. Per backstage sources in WWE, the AI tool has been in use for years and doesn’t influence storyline creation, which is still handled the traditional way.
The creative team believes the new hire will focus on using AI to help organize files and improve the quality of shots by eliminating distractions.
