The first PLE of 2025 will emanate from Indianapolis
The Stamford-based promotion has set the stage for the first PLE of 2025 as stars have announced their entry into the men’s Royal Rumble match, two title matches have also been announced for the show which will emanate from the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.
Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will defend against Kevin Owens in a ladder match while Tomasso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano (DIY) will defend the WWE Tag Team titles against Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin).
However, the star attraction of the show as usual will be the two Rumble matches in the men’s and women’s division. Ahead of the PLE this Saturday let us take a look at the top five favorite stars to win the men’s Rumble match in Indianapolis.
5. Seth Rollins
‘The Visionary’ Seth Rollins has announced his entry into the Rumble match this year and has vowed to win it and challenge the current World Heavyweight Champion Gunther. While Rollins in recent times has lost a high-stakes match against CM Punk in the debut episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix, he still is one of the top contenders in the Rumble match.
Rollins not only bounced back with a win against Drew McIntyre but also has participated in six Rumble matches and has a win in the 2019 match. Rollins winning the Rumble would once again reignite his feud with Punk who has repeatedly stated his intentions to headline WrestleMania.

4. Drew McIntyre
Since making his return last month, Drew McIntyre has targeted members of the OG Bloodline and has vowed that he will not rest until he has taken every member of the OG Bloodline. McIntyre has looked every bit dominant in all his matches.
Despite two recent losses to Jey Uso and Seth Rollins, he was very dominant in both these matches and only lost due to a roll-up pin. Reports also suggest that the promotion is giving a big push to McIntyre in 2025 and him winning the Rumble match will only push him further.

3. Roman Reigns
‘The OTC’ Roman Reigns has restored order as he defeated Solo Sikoa in the debut match of Monday Night Raw on Netflix and reclaimed the Ula Fala. Reigns has now shifted his focus to regaining the Undisputed WWE title and reclaiming the glory he lost at WrestleMania 40.
Reigns via Paul Heyman has announced that he is participating in the 2025 Rumble match and will challenge Rhodes at Mania. Roman reclaiming the Ula Fala has boosted his confidence and will be on display at the Lucas Oil Stadium.
2. John Cena
‘The Cenation Leader’ John Cena made his return on the historic debut episode of Raw on Netflix to kick off his farewell tour. Cena will wrestle full-time this year and will hang up his wrestling boots at the end of 2025.
Cena has announced his entry into the match as he looks to win the title and break the tie with Ric Flair to become the 17th-time WWE World Champion. Cena is one of the top favorites according to betting odds to win the match.
1. CM Punk
‘The Second City Saint’ CM Punk has won both matches that he has taken part in since his return in November 2024. Punk has stated his intentions to win the Rumble match and headline WrestleMania multiple times.
The Second City Saint’s dream has been on hold since last year when he suffered an injury that sidelined him. After settling the feud with Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins, this year might be the one where Punk wins the Rumble match for the first time and goes on to headline Mania.
