Fact Check: Is Bayley reuniting with Damage CTRL? Everything you need to know

Bayley was the leader of Damage CTRL for the last two years!

Bayley is one of the most successful professional wrestlers in the modern era. She is one of the four horse women, who played a major role in the women’s revolution.

Bayley’s contribution to the women’s division is incomparable. She is the first-ever Women’s Grand Slam Champion of the company, who held all the championships in WWE.

The Role model is currently in her pursuit to capture her lost WWE Women’s Championship from Nia Jax. At this stage, the recent SmackDown appearance of the role model became a hot topic, as it opened up a rumor on a potential reunion with Damage CTRL.

Bayley’s reunion

On the September 27, 2024, episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Bayley participated in a high-stakes match against her best friend Naomi to determine the #1 Contender for the WWE Women’s Championship match. While Bayley was making her entrance, WWE accidentally displayed the Damage CTRL logo on the big titration in the background.

It is clear that the Damage CTRL logo appearing on the big titration was a botch and it has nothing to do with Bayley’s reunion angle. This is not the first time WWE has been botching the entrance of a WWE superstar.

Last year, when Sami Zayn made his entrance on Raw confronting Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso, WWE accidentally played Sami’s heel theme, which went viral that time.

It is important to note that the 35-year-old was the former leader of the Damage CTRL faction, who brought IYO SKY & Dakota Kai to the main roster and debuted the faction at SummerSlam 2022 confronting Bianca Belair vs Becky Lynch after their championship match.

The faction made a huge impact in the roster wherever they stepped in and helped IYO SKY and Dakota Kai capture the tag team titles and IYO SKY her WWE Women’s Championship.

However, the inclusion of Kairi Sane & Asuka into the faction made them isolate Bayley, thinking of her as the weak link. The constant isolation of the role model resulted in Damage CTRL kicking Bayley out of the faction and the role model capturing the women’s title as an act of revenge. Bayley is now on the SmackDown brand, who defeated Naomi and punched her ticket to WWE Bad Blood for the WWE Women’s title match.
