“The OC” are currently working on the NXT brand
The OC also called ‘The Club’ is one of the popular professional wrestling factions, who are currently in WWE. The stable consists of AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson & Michin. Styles, Gallows and Anderson were previously part of the Bullet Club in NJPW and brought the same to WWE under the name The OC in 2016.
The stable has a huge legacy beyond WWE in the Japanese Promotion ‘NJPW’. They are currently in WWE on the SmackDown brand, where Styles is hanging out alone, The Good Brothers, Anderson and Gallows are active on NXT. But recently Anderson and Gallows spoke about their retirement plans for the very first time.
The OC’s retirement plans
Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows of The OC recently appeared for an interview with Talk’N Shop, where they were asked about whether they would return to Japan or retire from WWE. To which Karl Anderson said that he is romantically interested in Japan, and wishes to go back to Japan. However, he sees themselves retiring in WWE, as they feel that they belong here.
Karl Anderson said, “I romantically love Japan. I have to go back to Japan, I will go back to Japan. I miss Japan, badly. [But] I do see ourselves retiring in WWE, I see us as full brother WWE guys until the end.”
Luke Gallows on the other hand said that they won’t be retiring, and added that no matter what, they will be going to Japan and they never thought of retirement to date.
Luke Gallows said, “My answer is that we’re never going to retire. It doesn’t matter where. We’re going to go back to Japan a lot. It’ll be fun. We have no thoughts of retiring. Not even an inkling.” Anderson concluded saying that he sees himself as a WWE guy until he is gone.
On the other hand, the leader of The OC, AJ Styles during a previous interview with The Ringside Wrestling Show, teased his retirement, claiming that he has only limited time left with his in-ring career.
Styles said, “I’m done. I’m going to retire. I’m getting to that point where I am worried about embarrassing myself. My brain says, ‘We can do this.’ My body is like, ‘You’re stupid. We cannot do this. We’re hurting every day when we roll out of bed.”
