Santino Marella was in action on the July 29 show!
After the action-packed episode from Houston, Texas, WWE NXT returned to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando on July 29. TNA’s Director of Authority and WWE legend, Santino Marella, was in action this week inside the squared ring after a very long time.
In the first match of the show, Jaida Parker defeated Jazmyn Nyx, while Tavion Heights defeated Charlie Dempsey in a hard-fought match. With the stipulation in place, Heights now earns the right to leave the No Quarter Catch Crew, while Dempsey’s victory would have forced Tavion to stop trying to escape the faction.
Fallon Henley defeated Lash Legend due to outside interference by Nia Jax, who attacked Legend after the match. Furthermore, Je’Von Evans defeated Wes Lee. TNA World Champion Trick Williams was on commentary for this match.
In the main event of the show, Ethan Page defended the NXT North American Championship against TNA’s Director of Authority, Santino Marella. Page defeated Marella to retain the title after hitting the twisted grin.
