CM Punk has stated his intentions to headline WrestleMania

According to WrestleVotes on a Backstage Pass Q&A, the Stamford-based promotion wants ‘The Second City Saint’ CM Punk to be involved in a world title match at the grandest stage.

“I’ve heard so many things on Punk, especially as of late with the Roman stuff being thrown in there. But the one main factor that I’ve heard almost all year is they want him to be involved in a world title match. I don’t know how the puzzle pieces are going to fit but they want him at the top. I don’t think it’ll be with Cody, so that’s one title match out the window. Does he fit into the other one? I’m going to say yes at this point. I don’t think it’ll be Gunther, Bill [Apter], that’s the thing,” WrestleVotes said.

The Second City Saint will likely be involved in the World Heavyweight title picture at WrestleMania 41. The 41st edition of WrestleMania is scheduled for April 19 and 20 at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.

This event will be the second WrestleMania held in the Las Vegas area, following in the footsteps of the ninth edition, which took place at Caesars Palace in 1993.

Punk has on many occasions stated his intentions to fight for the title and to headline the grandest stage since his return during the 2023 edition of Survivor Series: WarGames. ‘The Ring General’ Gunther is the current World Heavyweight Champion while Cody Rhodes is the Undisputed WWE Champion.

Gunther recently defended the title in a triple-threat match against Finn Balor and Damian Priest at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The return episode of SNME was held last week at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York.

CM Punk will face Seth Rollins in the debut episode of WWE Raw on Netflix

The Second City Saint is currently involved in a feud with Seth Rollins and the two stars are engaged in a war of words. Rollins and Punk are set to face off after a very long time in the debut episode of the Red brand on Netflix.

WWE Raw is about to make a groundbreaking move in 2025 as the flagship show transitions from traditional television to Netflix. The debut is set for January 6, 2025, from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California.

The Stamford-based promotion has huge plans for the debut episode of the Red brand. The show will feature top Superstars like John Cena, Roman Reigns, Bianca Belair, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Solo Sikoa, and more.

Apart from the clash between Punk and Rollins, a match between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa has also been scheduled for the debut show in a Tribal Combat match.

Who do you think will emerge victorious in the matches set for the debut show? Which title do you want CM Punk to fight for at WrestleMania 41? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section.
