WWE RAW Results, Highlights & Winners (May 27, 2024): Liv Morgan retains her title & kisses Dom

Priest, Gunther & McIntyre confront, Breakker’s assault continues, Alpha Academy develop tension, Liv retains-kisses Dom & more!!!
The May 27, 2024 episode of Monday Night Raw is officially over and it one of the must watch episodes in recent times. WWE has showcased some of the interesting matches and segments in the show, which sets foundation for the future feuds and storylines including the fallout of the existing feuds. Get to know what happened on this week’s Raw, as we came out with the complete show summary, highlights, results and winners list.
WWE Raw Summary & Highlights
‘The King General’ Gunther, ‘Archer on Infamy’ Damian Priest & ‘Scottis Warrior’ Drew McIntyre
Monday Night Raw kicked-off with Ludwig Kaiser introducting Gunther & the WWE Universe disrespects him with chanting “We Want Randy!”.
Gunther addressed his win against Randy Orton, with which he became the King of the Ring and earned a title shot for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam 2024. He said that he made the Intercontinental Championship earn prestige, he made the King of the Ring prestige and now wanted to make the World Heavyweight Championship prestige.
Damian Priest interrupted him with JD McDonagh & Finn Balor. Priest entered the ring to confront Gunther and addressed the controversial win against Randy Orton & says that his cash-in is how the business goes and not like how Gunther won. Both look to meet each other inside the ring at SummerSlam to teach the lesson and Drew McIntyre interrupted them, as Drew will be facing Priest for the title at Clash at the Castle, before Gunther.
Drew addressed that he is the #1 Contender for the title as of now and in less than three weeks, he will be the champion. Gunther left the ring for them. Drew claims that he is trying to help Priest and tried to mentally play with him referencing the complex situation going inside Judgment Day.
Drew then said that who he is and what he gonna do at Clash at the Castle, but Priest understand what Drew trying to do and warned him. Before both of them finish off with their promos, Braun Strowman’s music hit and he hade a quick face-off with Damian Priest, before getting into the match with JD McDonagh.
Braun Strowman vs JD McDonagh
The match began with Braun Strowman dominating JD McDonagh throwing him across the ring, punching right on the face and slamming him to the ground. McDonagh tried to chop Strowman, but a vicious chop took McDonagh down. Strowman squashed him in the corner, headbutts him, when tried to squash him again, McDonagh moved and made him hit the ring post. Strowman fell out and McDonagh took a shot at his leg, when tried to enter the ring.
After the commercial, Strowman express hit McDonagh and made him flying. Back in the ring, Strowman tried to finish McDonagh with the running powerslam, but Finn Balor tried to interfere. Strowman tossed him in. Carlito came to attack him in the back, but Strowman took all the three and hit JD McDonagh with a Powerslam to win the match.
After the match, Judgment Day attacked Strowman, but the Monster outpowered them. JD hit him with a steel chair on the back, but Strowman chased them to the backstage.
Backstage- The Judgment Day
Finn Balor and Carlito discuss about what they should have done to put Braun Strowman down, and Priest walked in asking the Judgmenr Day members to assemble at the Club house.
Earlier the same day
Ricochet got medically cleared to compete. He asked Adam Pearce to make a match against Bron Breakker, but Pearce suspended him tonight for his actions last week. Ilja came to check on Ricochet and both tease that the things are not done between them. Ilja said that he will break people, but won’t hurt broken ones. Ricochet said that he is medically cleared and wanted the match. Pearce made a match between the two.
Uncle Howdy Glitches
Ricochet vs Ilja Dragunov
The match began with Ricochet and Dragunov countering each other’s move, but Ilja has the upper hand. Ricochet has been suffering from bad ribs and Dragunov claimed that it is his decision to fight. Dragunov delivered three German Suplexon Ricochet and hit him with a overhead kick and a running knee, sending him out of the ring.
Back after commercial, Ricochet hit him with a knee to the jaw and a couple of suicide dive, and hit a Moonsault from the middle rope to outside the ring. back in the ring, Dragunov countered a 450 splash into a clothesline and delivered a powerbomb. When lookin for a H-bomb from the top rope, Ricochet countered the move with a superkick and a recoil.
Ricochet then delivered a Shooting Star-press, but Breakker sneaked inside the ring and speared him. Dragunov tried to fight Bron, but he speared Ilja as well. Adam Pearce asked Bron to leave and yelled him, whereas officials took care of Dragunov and Ricochet.
Tapings
Miz and Truth were enjoying ice cream on the memorial day. The New Day met them and ask for a title shot. Miz said no and Truth said yes. Miz gave his ice cream to Woods and walked away. Karrion Kross met The New Day and ask them to join them. He looks to help Woods and ask him to leave New Day. Woods says that he is not interested in leaving New Day and they are over them. Kross and Kofi teases beef.
AOP vs Creed Brothers
The match began before The Creed Brothers, completing their entrance. AOP took the initial control with Brutus Creed. Brutus escaped Akam’s splash and tagged Julius and he’s fired up. Julius took both the memberes of AOP and took Akam to the shoulder looking for a Brutus Bomb. Meanwhile, Scarlett attacked Ivy Nile, this distracted them and Akam & Rezar hit their finisher on Julius to win the match.
Backstage
Rey Mysterio cut a promo against Carlito ahead of their match and said that he is no longer in LWO, after being welcomed with wide arms and getting betrayed.
Sheamus was walking to the ting, where Strowman chased JD McDonagh, who was speaking with Liv Morgan backstage.
‘The Celtic Warrior’ Sheamus
Sheamus said that the King of the Ring Tournament was a banger, but without him. He blamed Ludwig Kaiser as the reason behind his loss to Gunther in the first round. He will forgive him for what he did, but he won’t forgive him for what he trash talked about him, when he was not here. Kaiser appeared on the big screen and teased him for being a Keyboard Warrior and said that he got no chance on him. Sheamus cuts him and went on to find him backstage.
Kaiser attacked Sheamus from the back and they fought their way to the entrance ramp. A brawl broke out between the two and officials separated them.
Backstage- Irish Women
Becky Lynch met Lyra Valkyria backstage addressing their loss this Saturday and they look to fix things today.
Kairi Sane vs Lyra Valkyria
Lyra took Kairi down with a takedown and took initial control of her with quick strikes. Lyra hit a suplex and went for the top rope, but Kairi stopped her and began targeting her mid-section. Kairi swings her hands and hit her with a sliding elbow, stomped her on the apron. Both went for the tope rope, where Lyra was made to hang upside down and Kairi stomped her. Kairi delivered an Insane Elbow, but Lyra reversed it rolling her and picked the win.
The Judgment Day
Damian Priest asked Carlito to leave the club house, as he is not in the Judgment Day. JD came late claiming that he is being chased by Strowman. Priest ask what he was talking to Liv. JD claims that he said that she won’t be champion much longer. Dom then showed up, Priest spoke to him one-on-one asking what he is doing. Dom said that he spoke to Mami and explain his actions and promised her to fix things. Priest wanted Dom to handle business.
Backstage
IYO SKY was on the couch. Kairi Sane & Dakota Kai came to the locker room. But SKY broke everything on her sight and seems like she is mad on Kairi’s loss.
Rey Mysterio vs Carlito
The match began with Carlito trying to escape the ring, but LWO surrounded them. Rey took him to the ring to start the match, but Carlito took control of Rey no sooner. Carlito hit a slam and vertical super-plex on Rey, but Rey fought back with a seated senton and a springboard moonsault. Carlito then his a cutter. Both took the fight to the apron, where Rey pushed Carlito to the ring post. balor came to attack Dragon Lee, but Rey took him down with a seated senton and delivered a 619 to Carlito for the win.
After the match, Rey Mysterio went on to attack Finn Balor, taking him to the announcement table and asking Dragon Lee to jump on him to break the table. Priest came to save Finn and took out everyone. Priest hit a Razers Edge on Dragon Lee and hit a South of Heaven Chokeslam on Rey. Priest is not happy with Finn and Carlito for not handling their business and wanted Priest all the time.
Backstage- Alpha Academy
Chad Gable yelled Akira Tozawa for not showing up to Saudi Arabia, he then yelled Maxxine Dupri and took Otis with him for the match between Otis & Bronson Reed.
Bronson Reed vs Otis
The match began when Chad Gable gave instructions to Otis, this made Reed taking advantage of Otis. Reed took initial control of the match, but Otis fights back. Otis got fired up and hit a running crossbody. Otis hit Reed with a corner splash and tease for a Caterpillar. Chad Gable doesn’t want him to hit the move and speaks with Otis, this took enough time for Reed to recover. Reed took Otis down and hit a Tsunami for the win.
Alpha Academy & Sami Zayn
After the match, Chad Gable asked the Alpha Academy to assemble in the ring to fix things. Gable blames Otis for causing his match at King and Queen of the Ring and losing to Reed tonight. Gable wants to teach Otis discipline. He pulled his belt out and asks him to grab the rope.
He wants Maxxine and Tozawa to watch, as this is gonna happen to them, if they don’t obey his orders. When Gable tried to hit Otis, Maxxine stopped Gable. Gable sent him backstage. When trying to strike again, Sami Zayn came to the ring, Gable asks him to stay away from Alpha Academy business.
Sami Zayn steps in and says that gable is a little weak men and every time he came short at the title, he blamed every one. He says that all he need to blame is Gable himself. Sami pulled the belt from Gable and threw it out of the ring. Sami got near to Gable and Otis stops Sami.
Gable attacked Sami and Sami fights back, however Otis pulled him out. Gable hit a German Suplex on Sami and punched him in the face. Gable after hitting Zayn asked Otis to leave the ring with him. After initial hesitation, Otis walks backstage with Gable.
Backstage
Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark discuss about their upcoming title match against Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair. They say that they are not introduced to the champions and look to call them out next week. Sonya Deville met her and says that they won’t be champions without her. They laughed and walked away to meet Unholy Union, they said that if they meet in the ring, they’ll prove them who they are.
Women’s World Championship Steel Cage Match- Liv Morgan (C) vs Becky Lynch
Liv Morgan has control over Becky Lynch, banging her head to the cage and tried to escape the cage too soon. Liv sent Becky down from the cage and kicks Becky’s head banging on the cage. Liv hit Becky back first to the steel cage, but accidentally hit on the cage, when Becky moves away. Becky banged her head to the cage and hit a drop kick from the top rope.
Back after commercial, Liv Morgan took Becky down and tried to climb the cage, but Becky stops her and hit a suplex from the top rope. Becky tried for a disarmer, but Liv send her head first to the cage and a code breaker. Liv climbs the cage and Becky chase her. Both sat on top of the cage and Liv is sent back into the cage. Liv stops Becky and hit her with a powerbomb.
Liv looks for an Oblivian, but Becky kicked her with a disarmer on the ropes. Liv pushed her to the cage and tried to climb the rope, but both fell inside the ring. Dominik Mysterio came to help Becky. Finn & JD came to ask why he is doing this.
When Dom tried to explain, Braun Strowman showed up chasing Judgment Day. Becky when tried to escape the cage, Strowman hit Dom and he hit the cage door, which banged Becky’s head. Liv used the momentum to escape the cage and retain her title. After the win, Liv had a stare off with Dom and she finally kissed Dom to end Monday Night Raw.

- Ricochet vs Ilja Dragunov ended in a no contest, after the sneak attack by Bron Breakker.
- Authors of Pain defeated Creed Brothers by pinfall.
- Lyra Valkyria defeated Kairi Sane by pinfall.
- Rey Mysterio defeated Carlito by pinfall.
- Bronson Reed defeated Otis by pinfall.
- Liv Morgan defeated Becky Lynch by escaping the steel cage to retain the Women’s World Championship.
