Cody accepts Solo’s challenge, KO wins, Andrade & Melo wants US title, Bloodline stands tall & much more!!!
The September 06, 2024 episode of Friday Night SmackDown is officially over and it is one of the must see episode in recent times. This is the Bash in Berlin fallout episode & the final episode of SmackDown on Fox.

WWE SmackDown Summary & Highlights
Cody Rhodes addressed Solo Sikoa’s challenge
The Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes kicked-off Friday Night SmackDown. Cody addressed what happened at Bash in Berlin. He looks to go further, but he is likely to get interrupted. Before he gets interrupted, he invited The Bloodline. Solo Sikoa with Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa and Jacob Fatu comes ringside. Solo walks inside the ring, leaving The Bloodline outside the ring. Solo asks is Cody ready to defend the title against the real challenger, which is him.
Solo claims that he would have been champion at SummerSlam if it wasn’t Roman Reigns, so he wanted a rematch. Cody says that next week is a Season Premiere of SmackDown and he looks to defend the title on the line. Cody says that Jacob Fatu deserves a title shot and not Solo. He asked Fatu to step up and Solo stares Fatu. Jacob says that he loves Solo and he is his Tribal Chief and stepped down.
Cody says that Solo may wear the Ula Fala, but the show is on Undisputed WWE Championship. They finally agree to a match next week. Solo doesn’t want to wait until next week and he calls Bloodline in. Street Profits and DIY has Cody’s back, but Nick Aldis stop them before they got involve in a brawl. Aldis announced a eight man tag team match between The Bloodline and The team of DIY & Street Fight. On the other hand Cody vs Solo Sikoa’s title match next week will be a Steel Cage Match.
Bayley vs Tiffany Stratton
Hands and shoulders locked and Bayley tried to roll her down. Bayley caught Tiffany’s arm, but Tiffany Stratton counters it by twisting her arm back. Bayley tries to twist her arm again, but Tiffany took down Bayley. Both counter each others move. Stratton tries to Alabama Slam Bayley on the apron, but Bayley rolled her out. However Stratton connects the knee to the jaw and delivered a basement drop kick.
Back inside the ring, Bayley tries to fight back, but Stratton pushed her down and to the corner to deliver a gymnastic corner splash. Bayley knockes Stratton down with a collision in the middle of the ring, but Stratton stood up soon and took Bayley down. Tiffany smashes, Bayley’s arm to the ring post and Bayley does the same. Bayley slams Stratton outside the ring.
The Role model is fired up with rapid strikes taking Tiffany inside the ring. Bayley delivered the diving elbow drop from the top rope for a near fall. Nia Jax walks to the ringside to distract Bayley and Tiffany used it to deliver an Alabama Slam. Bayley fights back delivering a Bayley to Belly Suplex and delivered a suicide dive on Nia Jax. Jax tried to interrupt but got backfired for Stratton. The Rolemodel delivered a Rose plant and won the match.
Backstage
Austin Theory and Grayson Waller met Kevin Owens and run their mouth saying that Owens proved that he didn’t deserve a title shot. Owens stopped them saying thst everything is fine with him and Cody. He challenges Theory and Waller for a triple threat match tonight. Waller said that it would be a Handicap match, but Theory says that was not Owens said.
Giovanni Vinci vs Apollo Crews
It is Giovanni Vinci‘s SmackDown in-ring return. Vinci arrives with his new gimmick. Vinci tries to take his time removing his outfit off and the referee calls for the bell. Apollo rolls Vinci and he pinned him to screw his return.
Kevin Owens vs Austin Theory vs Grayson Waller
Kevin Owens sent both Theory and Waller out of the ring and delivered a Cannon Ball from the apron. He tries to clear the announcement table, but Waller and Theory with a double team took then out. Waller introduces a table, and tried to break it with Owens. However, Owens escaped them and delivered a powerbomb on Waller to break the table.
After the commercial, Theory and Owens exchange hands inside the ring, where Theory took Owens down and tried for a rolling move, but Owens counters with a DDT. Owens performed a clothesline, Senton and Swanton from the top rope and wekt for a fall, but Waller breaks.
Waller punches Owens on the face and Theory delivered a Rolling Blockbuster. Waller tried to pin Owens, but Theory breaks the pin. Both Waller and Theory go for an arguement, and they plan to deliver a vertical super-plex on Owens, but Owens pushed both down. Owens delivered a Blockbuster to both the men one by one from the middle rope. All the three countered each others move, where Owens pushed Waller down and delivered a Stunner to pin Theory for the win.
After the match, Waller and Theory attacked Owens. Theory delivered an A-Town Down and Waller delivered the Rolling Flatliner to Owens making a statement.
LA Knight’s next challenge
LA Knight arrives to the ring. He says that he is just 30 days holding the title, but he already defended it two times. He got interrupted by Carmelo Hayes. Hayes says that the US title should be on his shoulder after getting two back to back match of the night against Andrade. Knught says that he may given two back to back match of the nights, but Knight is the US champ.
Andrade interrupts them. He stops Hayes claiming that he too beat Hayes twice. Andrade claims that he deserves a title shot. Knight ask them to decide who deserve atitle shot. Andrade pokes on Knight’s chest and it trivgers him up. Hayes tries to pull Andrade, but Andrade pushed Hayes over Knight and delivered big boot to Hayes. Knight delivered a BFT to Andrade and Hayes to make the statement.
Chelsea Green vs Michin
Michin with back to back arm drags and a drop kick to take down Chelsea Green. She fights back taking Michin down and standing on top of Michin. She locks Michin’s mid section. Michin takes down Green with a clothesline and a drop kick. She follows delivering a code breaker.
Piper Niven distracts Michin, as she tries for the Styles Splash. Green tries to roll up and for an Unprettier, but Michin escapes to send her out. Michin took Green inside the ring, as the referee distracts, Niven took Michin to the floor delivering a Senton. Inside the ring Green delivered the Unprettier to win the match.
Eight Man Tag Team Match- The Bloodline vs The Streat Profits & #DIY
All the eight man start the match brawling inside the ring. The Bloodline is sent out, as Street Profits ans DIY stand tall. Tonga Loa and Angelo Dawkins officially kicks things off. Dawkins was fired up and he tags Ford in to deliver double team moves. Tama Tonga distracts For and Loa took Ford down and tagged Tama. Gragrano got tagged in to deliver a springboard spear.
Ciampa got tagged in and both crushed Tama in the corner with double kicks. Jacob Fatu blind tagged himself in. The Warewolf took Ciampa down and dragged him to their corner to tag Solo in. Solo took Ciampa out of the ring and threw him across the announcement table.
Back live, Fatu hit shoulder first to the ring post, while trying to spear Ciampa in the corner. Ciampa tagged both Dawkins and Gargank. Referee got confused who is the legal men. Both Dawkins dna Gargano work as a unit and toom evrryone out of the ring. Ford took Fatu with a top rope suicide dive. Gargano delivered a suicide dive between the ropes on Tama.
Dawkins delivered spinebuster on Solo for a nearfall. Ciampa got tagged in and he tries for the knee, but Solo delivered a Spinning Solo. Everyone is sent out and Ciampa vertical super-plexed Solo to the everyman involved. Inside the ring, Ford with a Frog Splash tried to pin Solo, but Fatu breaks the fall with a senton. Fatu delivered a superkick to Dawkins and Samoan Drop on Ciampa. He delivered a DDT to Ford and tagged Solo in. Solo delivered a couple of Samoan Spike and pinned Ford to pick up the win for The Bloodline.

- Cody Rhodes accepts Solo Sikoa’s challenge and it will be a steel cage match for the Undisputed WWE Championship next week.
- Bayley defeated Tiffany Stratton by pinfall, despite the distraction from Nia Jax.
- Apollo Crews defeated Giovanni Vinci by pinfall within seconds.
- Kevin Owens defeated Austin Theory & Grayson Waller by pinfall in a Triple Threat Match.
- Chelsea Green defeated Michin by pinfall, with the assist from Piper Niven.
- The Bloodline defeated The Street Profits & #DIY in the eight man tag team match.
