FA Cup 2023-24 final: Manchester City vs Manchester United: All you need to know
City and United will meet for second time in FA Cup
For the second year in a row, Manchester United takes against Manchester City in the Emirates FA Cup final.
Before last season’s 2-1 loss to the Blues at Wembley, when Bruno Fernandes scored our goal from the penalty spot, both teams hadn’t ever faced off in a major domestic final.
The main event at the national stadium next month is scheduled for Saturday, May 25, with kickoff scheduled for the customary time of 15:00 BST.
It’s our final game of the season, and the timing was decided upon in consultation with the clubs, media outlets, municipal officials, and members of the Safety Advisory Group.
In the UK, ITV1, ITVX, UTV, STV, BBC One, and BBC iPlayer will all carry live television. Sony Liv is where you may watch the game in India in the interim.

According to the FA, the competition’s prize fund will award the champions £2 million, while the runners-up will earn £1 million. If United wins, they will automatically qualify for the Europa League the following season, assuming the Reds do not advance to the UEFA Champions League based on our final league standing. It currently appears likely that entrance into that tournament would be restricted to the top four finishes.
The Reds have advanced to the championship game more times than any other team (22) thanks to our victory against Coventry City via penalty shootout. After Chelsea was defeated last weekend by a goal from Bernardo Silva, City will be making their 13th appearance.
The two teams have not faced each other in a final for 139 years after Blackburn Rovers upset Scottish team Queen’s Park twice in a row in 1884 and 1885.
It is a Manchester derby and a rematch of the last final, which City won 2-1, with holders Manchester City facing off against neighbourhood rivals Manchester United in the championship match. Since 1885, this is the first final between the same teams in back-to-back seasons. It is also just the second time the two clubs have faced off in the championship.
