A Hurt Business reunion could happen in AEW in the upcoming months!

Hurt Business was one of the top factions in WWE involving Bobby Lashley, MVP, Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander. The team had great success from 2020 to 2023, however, they split and almost every member was released from the company, except Cedric Alexander.

Following the release, most fans wondered where they would head next. At this stage, MVP appeared on AEW at Grand Slam and the backstage rumors suggest that another Hurt Business member is also signing an AEW contract soon.

Shelton Benjamin to join AEW

According to Ibou of Wrestling Pursuits Worldwide, Shelton Benjamin is set to be AEW-bound and is expected to sign with the company soon. IN July 2024, the former WWE star reacted to the rumors and confirmed that he had been in a brief conversation with AEW, but didn’t go out well for that time, however, it seems like they finally agreed to the deal.

In July 2023, Shelton Benjamin while speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet said, “I had a brief conversation with AEW, that hasn’t really borne fruit yet. But I’m still open. TNA, I haven’t spoken with yet. I’m more than willing to work with them. I haven’t talked to them. I know MLW reached out. So you know, I’ve been presented with options. I just haven’t found something that I’m satisfied with.”

He also showed his interest in working with top AEW talents including Okada, Will Ospreay and other major stars in a previous interview with Jamal Niaz on ‘For The Love of Wrestling’.

Shelton Benjamin said,

“Okada, while I worked alongside him in New Japan, we never actually had a match. So I would love to work with Okada. Obviously, I would love to work with Will Ospreay because I think that guy’s phenomenal. I’ve been watching him for years. People call me athletic, but he does stuff that I couldn’t even, it would put me in traction if I even tried some of the moves he does, but I would love to work with him. I think it could be a lot of fun. So those names are at the top of my list.”

Last week on Dynamite Grand Slam, MVP the former Hurt Business member made his AEW debut and endorsed Swerve Strickland. With MVP and Shelton Benjamin joining AEW, will Bobby Lashley join them? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
