The French Open 2023, the 27th tournament in the BWF World Tour 2023, is set to be hosted at the Glaz Arena in Cesson-Sévigné, France, from October 24 to 29, 2023. This prestigious badminton event, which has been a part of the French Open's rich history since 1908, offers a total prize pool of US$850,000.
First Indian who won a title here was AC Bahree, who paired up with Malaysia's CL Yap. Other Indians to win the title are current coach, Vimal Kumar in 1983 and 1984. Partho Ganguli along with Vikram Singh triumphed in the year 1984. Meanwhile, Arpana Popat is the only women's singles player to have won the title in the competition.
Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty are the defending champions from 2022 in men's doubles.
