The BWF World Tour Finals 2023 is the culmination of the 2023 BWF World Tour, which features the top players/pairs from around the world competing for the ultimate prize money of $2.5 million. The tournament will be held from 13 to 17 December 2023 in Hangzhou, China, at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Expo Center.
Top eight performers from each of the five categories – men’s and women’s singles and men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles – will qualify for the group stage, where they will be divided into two groups of four. The top two players/pairs from each group will advance to the knockout stage, where they will face each other in a single-elimination format until only one champion remains.

The defending champions are Viktor Axelsen (men’s singles), Akane Yamaguchi (women’s singles), Liu Yu Chen and Ou Xuan Yi (men’s doubles), Chen Qing Chen and Jia Yi Fan (women’s doubles), and Zheng Si Wei and Huang Ya Qiong (mixed doubles) are in the fray.
Two Malaysian players have made it to the group stage: Aaron Chia/ Soh Wia Yik in men’s doubles and Chen Tang Jie/ Toh Ee Wei You in mixed doubles. They will face tough competition from other top pairs from Denmark, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, China, South Korea.
