In the 9th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 between India and Afghanistan in Delhi. Rohit Sharma led Indian team to a dominating victory by 8 wickets, setting several records along the way. Afghanistan posted a competitive total of 272/8 in their 50 overs. Hashmatullah Shahidi was the standout batsman, scoring 80, while Azmatullah Omarzai contributed 62. Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of Indian bowlers, taking four wickets for 39 runs.
In response, India's innings were headlined by Rohit Sharma, who played a remarkable innings. He scored 131 runs off 84 balls, smashing 16 boundaries and five sixes. This century helped India reach the target with ease, finishing at 273/2 in just 35 overs. Ishan Kishan and Virat Kohli provided good support, with scores of 47 and 55 not out.
