IPL 2025 mega auction: List of all players bought by RR on day 1

RR entered the IPL 2025 mega auction with a purse of INR 41 crores.

2008 Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Rajasthan Royals (RR), entered the auction with a purse of INR 41 crores. Retaining the full quota of six players – Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel and Shahrukh, Shimron Hetmyer and Sandeep Sharma (uncapped player) the franchise had maintained their core before the next season.

RR had a busy day at the auction table, the franchise added five new players to the squad. Some of RR’s key signings included Jofra Archer and Wanindu Hasaranga.

Known for their excellent bowling lineup, RR have further strengthened their bowling lineup by adding quality bowlers such as Jofra Archer, Wanindu Hasaranga, and Maheesh Theekshana.

Having released the spin duo of Ravi Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal before the auction, the addition of Hasaranga and Theekshana will help the franchise in re-establishing their spin attack.

The franchise will look to add sign some Indian bowlers tomorrow. The squad currently over-relies on overseas players in the bowling department. Rajasthan currently have only Sandeep Sharma and Aakash Madhwal as their Indian bowling options.

RR spent a total of INR 23.65 crores on day one of the IPL 2025 mega auction.

RR have a total of INR 17.35 crores remaining in their purse.

RR can buy a minimum of 7 to a maximum of 14 players tomorrow. They have only four overseas slots left.

5. Kumar Kartikeya – Rs 30 lakhs (BP – 30 lakhs)
