ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 will kick-off on October 5th in Ahmedabad.

With the tournament set to kick off on October 5th and all the teams having unveiled their jerseys, ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 has become a highly anticipated event for cricket fans around the globe. It's not just the matches that have stirred excitement, there's also keen anticipation to see the jerseys each team will be putting on.

These jerseys hold more significance than being mere clothing, they serve as symbols of a nation's cricketing heritage and pride. Let's take a closer look and rate the cricket jerseys of all the teams in ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

Here's how we rate jerseys of all teams participating in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023:

1. India - 9 :

The new Indian cricket jersey contains a striking tri-color pattern on the shoulder instead of the usual three white stripes. You'll spot BCCI logo at the top left-corner, with two stars above it, representing India's two ODI World Cup wins in 1983 and 2011. India's kit has the potential to be remembered as a classic in World Cup history, thanks to its rich blue-and-orange detailing on the collar and sleeves, which nicely complements the white accents on the shoulder.

2. England - 9 :

England are set to kick off their campaign in the tournament's opening match on October 5 against New Zealand. The kit features a combination of light and dark navy blue with red stripes running down the sides. Positioned on the upper left side of the jersey is the team's logo, adorned with a star above it, symbolizing England's 2019 World Cup victory. This new kit is quite distinct from their iconic light blue 2019 jersey, which paid homage to their 1992 jersey. Nonetheless, their latest design is also quite impressive.

3. South Africa - 8.5 :

South Africa's new kit for the upcoming mega event stands out with its deep green color and distinctive twisted patterns on the blacked-out sleeves. Amul has taken on the role of the new kit sponsor, with their logo elegantly placed on the sleeves. It's a simple yet impactful design, a solid green base with gold trim and Proteas logo elegantly etched in gold over the heart.

4. Sri Lanka - 8.5 :

The new jersey keeps its classic blue and yellow colors intact, featuring the team's logo in the top-corner. Above the logo, there's a star symbolizing Sri Lanka's 1996 World Cup victory. It's worth noting that Sri Lanka's jersey this time is a departure from their recent preference for darker tones. The addition of bright yellow, along with the outline of a sea turtle on the shirt, adds a fun element to the kit. Moreover, the minimal use of sponsors' logos keeps it looking clean and stylish.

5. New Zealand - 8 :

New Zealand are gearing up to start their tournament journey in the opening match on October 5 against England. Their new kit has a somewhat nostalgic vibe to it. The primary color is the classic plain black, which is a return to the traditional look and is likely seen as a positive change from the gray that had found its way into their kit in recent years. However, it's worth pointing out that the inclusion of vertical stripes on the lower part of the jersey doesn't appear as appealing as the classic plain design they've traditionally worn.

6. Pakistan - 8 :

The new Pakistan cricket kit boasts a dominant dark green color with a striking yellow star in the top corner, symbolizing the "Star Nation Jersey" concept, which represents the close bond between cricketing heroes and their devoted fans. However, despite its intended significance, the overall design may not be highly effective for everyone.

7. Australia - 7.5 :

Australian jersey proudly features the traditional yellow color, symbolizing the rich heritage of the country and the deep-rooted connection of its communities with the sport of cricket. However, this time around, it's notable that the shade of yellow on their shirt has a slightly faded appearance compared to the vibrant brightness of their recent kits. Other than that, the design remains simple and plain.

8. Bangladesh - 7.5 :

Bangladesh have embraced their nickname, with a prominent tiger print featured on their jersey. The touches of orange on the left side of the torso provide a striking contrast to the deep green and complement the bits of orange on their trousers. While it may not be exceptionally eye-catching, it's a decent jersey overall.

9. Netherlands - 7.5 :

Netherlands' jersey is certainly unique, with its vibrant burst of orange setting them apart from other teams in the tournament, which often favor various shades of blue. This bold choice pays homage to Dutch tradition of wearing orange, while the striking blue design on the sleeve makes it distinctive . However, although it stands out, it may not have the same impact as some of the other teams' designs.

10. Afghanistan - 7 :

Afghanistan's new kit maintains the traditional combination of red and gray colors, symbolizing courage, while featuring royal blue as its primary color theme. The team's logo is positioned in the left-corner, with the main sponsor's name displayed on the sleeves. The diamond pattern with red and blue dots creates an optical illusion-like effect, and while it stands out from all the other kits in the tournament, it might not be the most visually pleasing choice.
