The nation have been drawn to Group A

Ecuador were the final nation to declare their team, and they will attempt to get to the knockout stages with this talented group. Ecuador had a tremendous Conmebol qualification, taking on two South American behemoths, Argentina and Brazil.

They finished points throughout the round-robin qualifying stage and will seek to maintain that form in the World Cup.

Despite their off-field troubles with Chile and Peru, they included an ineligible player in World Cup qualifying, which resulted in former countries requesting that they be banned from the competition.

Manager Gustavo Alfaro has until Friday to submit his 26-man squad, and he has chosen his ideal player, whom he believes will pose a threat to the favourites countries in their group.

Ecuador are in Group A, along with Qatar, Senegal, and the Netherlands. And their inaugural World Cup game will take place against Qatar on November 20.
