Hero Intercontinental Cup 2023: Fixtures, Telecast, Venue and more
The tournament will be contested by four teams, over a span of 10 days.
The 2023 Hero Intercontinental Cup will be the third edition of the four-nation tournament, organised by the AIFF. The competition was first played back in 2018, when India defeated Kenya in the finals to win the tournament. A year later, North Korea triumphed, as India finished last.
With the 2023 Hero Intercontinental Cup commencing in a few days time, here is all you need to know about the competition.

Format
The four nations have been placed in a common group, where they will play against each other in a round-robin format. Once every nation has played a game against the other three, the top two teams will advance to the finals of the tournament, set to be played on the 18th of June.
The teams playing are going to be ranked on the basis of points. For a win, a team will get three points, one point for a draw, and none for a loss. At the end of all the games, if two teams are tied on points, then the following criteria are to be followed.
- Points in head-to-head matches among tied teams
- Goal difference in head-to-head matches among tied teams
- Goals scored in head-to-head matches among tied teams
- Goal difference in all group matches
- Goals scored in all group matches
- Penalty shoot-out if only two teams are tied and they met in the last round of the group
- Disciplinary points (yellow card = 1 point, red card as a result of two yellow cards = 3 points, direct red card = 3 points, yellow card followed by direct red card = 4 points)
- Drawing of lots

All the matches of the 2023 Hero Intercontinental Cup will be played at the Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar, India.

The Hero Intercontinental Cup 2023 will be telecasted on the Star Sports Network. Live streaming of the games will be available on Disney+Hotstar and JioTV.
