List of players suspended for Premier League 2023-24 gameweek 17

Premier League players have picked up plenty of bookings for dissent
The Premier League has been a strict league when it comes to discipline. This year the referees were already told to not tolerate any kind of dissent and allowed to book players.
Players receive a suspension for receiving five yellow cards. They get a match-ban and this ban is doubled if the player gets 10 yellow cards.
As we are nearing the mid-season, a lot of players have received more than one booking. 13 players have already received five yellow cards and eight players have received more than five bookings. Nine players were handed suspension this week. Let’s take a look at players who are set to miss game week 17 due to suspension.
Jack Robinson (Sheffield United)
Robinson has been a regular for the Blades. He took his fifth booking in a 1-0 win against Brentford. This was also his third yellow card in five league games.
Douglas Luiz (Aston Villa)
Luiz avoided a yellow card for eight games and had to eventually take one against the Gunners.
Lucas Digne (Aston Villa)
Lucas Digne didn’t receive a yellow card for eight league games. He was forced to commit to a challenge in a big win over Arsenal and will miss the trip to Brentford.
Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United)
Bruno received his fifth booking of the season against Bournemouth. Manchester United were already losing the game. Their captain argued with the referee and he was booked late in the match. The Portuguese will miss the crucial encounter against Liverpool.
