FPL Guru: How your team should look like in Gameweek 24
The Premier League is back after a scintillating round of FA Cup games.
Arsenal blew the top four race wide open when they defeated Chelsea in resounding fashion thanks to goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Laurent Koscielny. Manchester United beat Brighton due to goals from Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford while Tottenham overpowered Fulham at the Craven Cottage. Manchester City fended off a meek Huddersfield challenge scoring three unanswered goals with Danilo, Sterling, and Sane finding the net. Liverpool survived a scare from Crystal Palace at Anfield to maintain their lead at top of the table with Mohamed Salah grabbing a brace.
Gameweek 23 Review
A very disappointing week for the team. Only three players managed to perform well. Callum Wilson got 9 points for his brilliant performance against West Ham while captain Marcus Rashford stole the show with 16 points. Andrew Robertson got 5 points due to his assist in Liverpool’s entertaining victory against Crystal Palace. Ryan Fraser got three points while Eden Hazard and Jesse Lingard got two points each. The rest of the team including the three remaining defenders and Alisson in goal only got one point each.
The team finished well below average.
Gameweek 24 Transfers
Despite, a disappointing Gameweek 23 no transfers are made. Most of the players in the team have favourable fixtures this week. However, Arsenal teammates Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alex Iwobi can be transferred out. The striker can be replaced by Sergio Aguero. The Argentine is slowly coming back in form after his injury and is going to be a pivotal figure in City’s title-defense.
The Arsenal winger meanwhile is serving as a rotation piece with no fixed role in the system. He can be replaced by James McArthur or Solly March.

Chelsea and Arsenal players are expected to gain major points this week

Aaron-Wan Bissaka stays on the bench again while Marcos Alonso, Andrew Robertson, and Toby Alderweireld starting with Matt Doherty. Eden Hazard will start in midfield as he hopes to recover from his recent slump with a good performance against Bournemouth. He will be joined by Richarlison, Alex Iwobi, and Jesse Lingard. Ryan Fraser moves to the bench. Captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang starts with Marcus Rashford in attack. The latter is made vice-captain with Callum Wilson assigned to the bench.
Manchester United welcome Burnley to Old Trafford, with the intention of maintaining their winning run under their new manager while Arsenal face Cardiff at the Emirates. It’s a tough Bournemouth test away from home for Chelsea while Liverpool look to take all three points against Leicester. Tottenham face Watford at Wembley while Manchester City will look to cut Liverpool’s lead when they face Newcastle on Tuesday.
