Teams
India: The Blue Tigers announced their 25-man squad for the Hero Intercontinental Cup 2019. Here is the list of the names who will be part of the Indian side that will compete in the tournament in Ahmedabad.
Tajikistan: The Persian Lions are ranked 120th in the current FIFA rankings and are coming off a rough patch after they failed to qualify for the AFC Asian Cup. However, head coach Usmon Toshev has picked a comparatively younger team and the new crop of youngsters will bring dynamism in their approach. Hence, the other teams cannot afford to take them lightly. To know more about their squad read here.
DPR Korea: Ranked at 121 in the FIFA rankings, DPR Korea are the lowest ranked team in the tournament, but will be looking to bring back the winning mentality that the side had between 2008 and 2012, a period during which they secured two AFC Challenge Cups. Syria: Despite having rested some top stars for the tournament, there’s still a decent mix of experience and blooming talents to cause their opposition a problem at the TransStadia Arena. The Assyrians have plenty of pedigree under their belt and have earned the reputation for being a hard nut to crack in Asia over the decades. To know more about their squad read here.
