Although the visitors looked to be on the right path for most part of the match the hosts worked hard till the end to earn a win.
It was a game of two halves, as FC Goa came from behind twice to maintain their 100% percent record at home. Delhi took the lead in this ISL fixture, through Bikramjit Singh early in the first half. The Gaurs equalized in the second half through Edu Bedia, only for Lallianzuala Chhangte to give the lead back to Delhi. Substitute Brandon Fernandes equalised in the 82nd minute and the Gaurs took all three points when Edu Bedia nodded in a Hugo Boumous free-kick.

FC Goa gaffer Sergio Lobera was happy with the result. "Sincerely, I think either one of the teams could have won this game. It was a very open game where both teams were looking to attack each other as much as possible. I think it was a spectacle for the fans," said Lobera.
He continued on talking about the competitive nature of the game. He said, “When there is an open game, it signifies that there are facets of the game that either team is not dominating. I think that happened to us quite a few times. What that does is, it ends up being a lucky draw, any one of the teams can win. But, I also believe that when there are two teams going at it and one is capable of scoring more than the other, it’s because in the decisive moment they were better than the other team.”
When asked about Edu Bedia’s performance the Spaniard said, "I don’t like to speak about players individually. Edu is a good player. He is not somebody new to the team. He has been here for the past two seasons. He's is an important player for us. However, I feel that a player only shines when the team is doing the work with him."

Josep Gombau saw his side give away three points after taking the lead twice. However, he was happy about a lot of aspects of his team’s performance. "We played very well. We had a lot of chances to win the game. I am satisfied with the players. I am satisfied with everybody. It is true that Goa is a very strong opponent. But, we deserve more than to go back without anything,” the former Barcelona youth coach said.
[KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS]He continued on about the game and the opposition. Gombau stated, “We had very good chances against them. We had a one-on-one with only the keeper, a lot of headed efforts inside the box, which we should have converted. We are creating chances. We come to Goa, which is one of the strongest teams in the ISL and we played well.”
“The way that Goa play and the way we play are very similar. Myself and Sergio come from the same club. We have the same idea, same philosophy. The difference was that they converted the chances they had,” the gaffer concluded.
