The Spaniard spoke on the back of his side's entertaining 2-2 draw against the Islanders.
Mumbai City FC thought they had all three points in the bag, but Roy Krishna came to the home team's rescue, as league leaders ATK pulled off a miraculous draw. The Fiji international plucked two points off Mumbai's grasp with a finish deep into stoppage time, a result which will leave the Islanders with a bitter taste in the mouth. Head coach Antonio Habas would be glad to have earned a point from the equalizer. [KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS] Antonio Habas seemed to be particularly content with the result, despite expressing his dismay at having to dig deep for the same. The coach said, "When the game is a draw, I cannot be very happy. But, I'm happy with the performance and with the commitment of the team." "I think it has been a very competitive game with counter-attacks, fouls and there was no peace in the game because of the fouls. We didn't get the chance to maintain continuity in our attacks," he added. The 62-year-old was understanding of the work-rate that had to be put in by full-backs Prabir Das and Michael Soosairaj and praised the Mumbai attack. "I think our full-backs had to work more, as they had to attack and defend. Their (Mumbai) strikers and wingers were great and we had some problems on the wing," he said. With ATK centre-back Carl McHugh taken off on the hour mark, Antonio Habas was skeptical about the severity of the injury, despite claiming ignorance on it. He felt that the game serves as a good indicator of the work that is needed to be done by his boys and considered the score a fair reflection of the match. "We knew the situation would come, so we tackled it. The team must continue attacking. We are a fighting team." ATK remain top of the table with 11 points from their six games so far and travel to Guwahati to play NorthEast United on December 7. Having succumbed to two successive 2-2 draws, despite taking the lead, a frustrated Mumbai City FC will return home to face the Kerala Blasters on December 5.Latest News
