Captain Fantastic scored a brace in the second half to hand his team the win.

With Sergio Lobera suspended for the fixture and unable to be present on the touchline, Jesus Tato’s FC Goa side succumbed to their first defeat in four Indian Super League encounters against Bengaluru FC by a 2-1 scoreline. The Blues were put under a lot of pressure in the early stages of the match, but were able to hold the Gaurs out until half-time. Sunil Chhetri opened the scoring from a corner, before the Goans replied through Hugo Boumous. However, a late winner from none other than the Bengaluru skipper himself tipped the tie in favour of the home side and sent the West Block Blues into absolute delirium. Here are the Indian player ratings from the Bengaluru FC and FC Goa match. [KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]

Bengaluru FC

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu- 7.0

The first-choice Indian shot-stopper had a tough time dealing with the constant FC Goa pressure over the course of the 90, but he couldn’t have done too much about the Gaurs’ goal on the night.

Rahul Bheke- 7.0

The full-back made a couple of good charges towards the FC Goa box and played some neat crosses in as well. Defended well down his flank, although he was consistently being overrun. [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2-dCTUajp8[/embed]

Nishu Kumar- 7.5

The diminutive Indian put up what could’ve well been his best performance of the season so far, as he bombed forward whenever the opportunities presented themselves.

Harmanjot Khabra- 7.0

Worked extremely hard in the middle of the park and made a couple of smart dribbles around the Goa box as well. Was subbed off in the second half, as the Blues searched for the winner.

Udanta Singh- 6.0

The speedster tried to have his mark on the game, but wasn’t allowed any running room in the first half. Was substituted to make room for Manuel Onwu at half-time. [KH_ADWORDS type="4" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]

Sunil Chhetri- 8.5

The Indian skipper picked up both the Bengaluru FC goals on the night to give Carles Cuadrat’s side a much-needed win. Took both the opportunities fantastically well and was undoubtedly the Man of the Match.

Ashique Kuruniyan- 7.0

The youngster worked extremely hard off the ball and tried to make something happen down the flanks, while going forward as well. Was unfortunate to be stretchered off late on.

Substitutes

Suresh Singh Wangjam- 6.5

The youngster showed himself in an excellent light after coming on, as he showcased a couple of excellent dribbles in the middle of the park.

Thongkhosiem Haokip- 6.5

Another of the BFC youngsters - Semboi tried to hold the ball up in the latter stages and worked hard as the Blues tried to defend their lead at the end. [KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News | Bengaluru FC Vs FC Goa | ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS]

FC Goa

Mohammad Nawaz- 6.5

The Goan goalkeeper didn’t have that much to deal with, but made a couple of stellar stops in the first half. Should’ve done a better job stopping the Blues’ opener.

Seriton Fernandes- 6.5

The full-back worked hard in defence and tried to get forward on occasion as well. Wasn’t able to deliver too many crosses into the box because of the Bengaluru defending.

Mandar Rao Dessai- 7.0

The FC Goa skipper had a couple of brilliant opportunities to score on the night, but failed with his finishing after showing great composure with the ball at his feet.

Lenny Rodrigues- 6.5

The leggy Indian tried to make things tick for the Gaurs, but was largely ineffective over the course of the second half. He was taken off as the away side pushed for an equalizer. [KH_ADWORDS type="2" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]

Brandon Fernandes- 7.5

The midfield magician was in fine form over the first 45, but began to gradually fall out of the game in the second half. Played a couple of brilliant forward passes too.
