However, it appears that the Red Devils will face stiff competition from their arch-rivals Manchester City who too are keeping close tabs on the Englishman.
Griezmann on the brink of Atletico exit?
In what could be one of the biggest transfers this summer, Antoine Griezmann might be finally on his way out from Atletico Madrid after a couple of seasons of constant rumours. Barcelona are believed to be most likely the next destination for the Frenchman however there has been no official contact yet.
“I want my future to be decided more than anyone, but there's a need to wait. I don't know if I'll remain in Spain. Maybe in two weeks we'll know something,”said the 28 year-old.
Does Zidane prefer Pogba over Eriksen?
Real Madrid are in for a major squad overhaul this season having already brought in the likes of Eder Militao from FC Porto, Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt and Eden Hazard from Chelsea. According to the Mirror, the Los Blancos are all set to land Paul Pogba as their next signing as the Frenchman is one of the top targets of manager Zinedine Zidane.
Florentino Perez, however, was of the view that Christian Eriksen would be a better and cheaper pick but reportedly agreed later, on signing the Manchester United stalwart.
