The Pune manager is targeting three points against the Highlanders…
Before the game against NorthEast United FC Pune City head coach Antonio Habas said, “We played great against Delhi, but tomorrow is a different day and we are expecting a tough game tomorrow.” Commenting on his team’s improving performance after a bad start this season, one of the most successful coaches in ISL history said, “New team, new season and I was not with the team for the early matches due to suspension, but now the team is building. I hope in the next two or three games the team which concedes less goals and the attackers of the team that can create more chances will go to the top, that for sure.” On being quizzed about why he think NEUFC are tough opponents he said, “NorthEast had played very good football in the initial games. They have some very good players, a great coach, very good fan base and we respect them a lot. We respect every opponent. Tomorrow will be a very tough game.” On injury concerns the coach looked quite satisfied as he said, “There are no injuries or suspensions, we are at full strength.” On Indian footballers’ performance throughout the three seasons of the ISL, Habas had some fine words of praise. “See, tomorrow is game No. 44 for me in the ISL. In the beginning, Indian football needed more foreign players to help the game here. Now we have very good Indian players in Season 3. So, I think we can have more Indian footballers next year inn each team.” Photo © ISL MediaReport by Himangshu Rajkhowa- Khel Now Correspondent from Guwahati.
