Euro 2024: Who will France face in round of 16?

France haven’t lived up to expectations in this Euro edition.
France have been an uninspiring side in Euro 2024 this time, failing to win more matches after their 1-0 win over Austria, that too they got through an own goal. Their 1-1 draw with Poland meant they face the Group E side who finished second.
In the 56th minute against Poland, Kylian Mbappe, who was wearing a mask after fracturing his nose against Austria, finally broke through at the Euros by scoring a penalty after Jakub Kiwior had fouled Ousmane Dembele. But with 13 minutes left, Poland were given their own spot-kick after Karol Swiderski was fouled.
Following a 0-0 tie with Ukraine in Group E, who were eliminated from the competition, Belgium will play France in the round of 16 of Euro 2024.
The Red Devils just made it out of Group E, coming in second to Romania. They will now play France because Ukraine were eliminated from the expanded European Championship at the group stage with four points, losing to them on goal differential.
Belgium, who were plainly ordinary during the group stage, will need to improve significantly to compete against the 2022 FIFA World Cup runners-up. They were subpar overall, though they did show some potential in their victory over Romania on Saturday.
