UEFA Euro 2024 Group D: Preview, players to watch, fixtures, squads & telecast info
France and the Netherlands are favourites to advance from the group.
Group D at the upcoming UEFA Euro 2024 tournament in Germany features some of the top international teams in European football. France enter as the favourites, with a talented squad spearheaded by Kylian Mbappe. They will be motivated to add the European Championship to their trophy cabinet.
The Netherlands also boast quality players like Virgil van Dijk and Memphis Depay, but they have under-performed at recent major tournaments. Despite some key injury absences, the Dutch have the ability to challenge the best teams.
At the Euros, for Poland, the goalscoring prowess of veteran striker Robert Lewandowski will be crucial. The Eagles will need to be defensively disciplined to navigate through this tough group.
Austria should not be underestimated. Under experienced coach Ralf Rangnick, they have a well-rounded squad including Marcel Sabitzer and Marko Arnautovic. Even though they are underdogs, Austria are capable of springing upsets to reach the knockout rounds.
