France and the Netherlands are favourites to advance from the group.

Group D at the upcoming UEFA Euro 2024 tournament in Germany features some of the top international teams in European football. France enter as the favourites, with a talented squad spearheaded by Kylian Mbappe. They will be motivated to add the European Championship to their trophy cabinet.

The Netherlands also boast quality players like Virgil van Dijk and Memphis Depay, but they have under-performed at recent major tournaments. Despite some key injury absences, the Dutch have the ability to challenge the best teams.

At the Euros, for Poland, the goalscoring prowess of veteran striker Robert Lewandowski will be crucial. The Eagles will need to be defensively disciplined to navigate through this tough group.

Austria should not be underestimated. Under experienced coach Ralf Rangnick, they have a well-rounded squad including Marcel Sabitzer and Marko Arnautovic. Even though they are underdogs, Austria are capable of springing upsets to reach the knockout rounds.

Players to Watch

Poland: Robert Lewandowski

Robert Lewandowski will be the focal point for Poland at Euro 2024. Despite his advancing age, the 35-year-old striker remains one of the most prolific goalscorers in world football. Lewandowski has scored over 600 career goals for club and country.

His 12-year stint in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich makes him well-acquainted with the atmosphere in Germany, the host nation.

Netherlands: Memphis Depay

Memphis Depay will be a key player for the Netherlands at Euro 2024. The 30-year-old forward has been in excellent form for both club and country.

Depay has scored 45 goals in 92 appearances for the Dutch national team. His pace, dribbling ability and scoring prowess make him a handful for any defence.

Austria: Marcel Sabitzer

Marcel Sabitzer will be Austria‘s most important player at Euro 2024. The 30-year-old had an outstanding season for Borussia Dortmund, playing a vital role in their run to the Champions League final.

Sabitzer’s versatility to play in multiple positions in midfield and attack is a major asset for Austria. He enters the tournament in fine form after scoring crucial goals in the Champions League knockout rounds.

France: Kylian Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe will spearhead France‘s attack at Euro 2024. The 25-year-old striker comes into the tournament in blistering form after scoring 44 goals for Paris Saint-Germain last season.

Mbappe’s pace, dribbling ability and clinical finishing make him one of the most dangerous forwards in the world.
